Priory East Gate - Luxury Cottages
At a glance
Grand historic charm with vaulted ceilings and restored heritage details Perfect for gatherings with a spacious kitchen and private patio Views over landscaped priory grounds and private gardens
About the property
Priory East Gate blends 15th-century character with contemporary comfort. Originally built as part of the 15th century gatehouse and east range of the priory complex, it retains fine original features including carved stonework, vaulted ceilings and historic timber elements while offering high-end finishes, modern amenities and thoughtful design throughout. Set in a quiet village location close to the coast, it offers both heritage atmosphere and easy access to countryside and shoreline. Each room is designed to feel generous, warm and inviting - from relaxed social spaces to private sleeping suites.
The space
Enter through the grand doorway into a large reception hall where historic stone arches meet contemporary interiors. The living room features a dramatic fireplace, high ceilings and large windows - a space designed for conversation, relaxation and shared moments.
From here the kitchen and dining room unfold: a well-equipped modern kitchen with premium appliances and stone surfaces, merging into a dining area that comfortably seats the full party - perfect for group meals or celebrations.
There are four bedrooms, including the primary bedrooms with a super-king bed and en-suite bathroom. A private patio provides an outdoor extension of the living space, ideal for morning coffee or evening drinks. Three further bedrooms await, including two super-king suites (each with en-suite) and one bedroom with twin beds. The décor balances period charm and modern luxury - soft linens, original detailing, comfortable furnishings and ensuite/bathroom options throughout.
