About this property
The Residence Renvyle countryside get away
Tucked between mountain and sea in the breathtaking landscape of Lettergesh, Renvyle, The Residence is a charming two-bedroom cottage that captures the heart of Connemara living. With its peaceful setting, flower-filled garden, and welcoming interiors, this is the kind of place where time slows, the air feels fresher, and every day ends with a glowing turf fire.
After a day exploring Lettergesh Beach, Connemara National Park, Kylemore Abbey, or the trails of Diamond Hill, return to the comfort of this cosy home. Inside, you will find two inviting living spaces: a snug sitting room with a comfortable couch and armchairs perfect for unwinding beside the stove and a light-filled sunroom, where three armchairs and a window seat invite you to sit back and take in views of the beautiful garden in bloom.
The well-equipped kitchen has everything you need for home-cooked meals, featuring an electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher and an oil-fired range that also provides heating. You’ll also find a washing machine and a traditional pulley clothes horse, a lovely nod to classic Irish country living.
Outside, the charm continues. The enclosed garden at the front and rear of the property offers space and privacy, with outdoor furniture for relaxing in the fresh Connemara air. Fire up the gas BBQ for leisurely summer evenings or simply enjoy the tranquillity of the countryside. (Please note, there is no gate at the road entrance.)
Upstairs, the home offers two beautifully appointed bedrooms, one with a super king bed and freestanding wardrobe, and the second with a double and single bed and a built-in wardrobe — perfect for families or friends. Two bathrooms complete the layout: one with a shower, and another with a toilet and basin.
With two turf-burning stoves and a garden that bursts with colour in the summer months, The Residence feels like a home made for relaxation and reconnection. Pets are warmly welcomed; we just ask that they are monitored during your stay.
Whether you are exploring Connemara’s beaches, hiking the nearby hills, or simply seeking a quiet place to unwind, The Residence is a true home away from home, warm, comfortable, and full of charm.
