Baita Delle Stelle, Sestriere - Bessen Haut, Italy

Escape to one of the most picturesque parts of the Italian Alps. Baita delle Stelle is in the charming village of Bessen Haut (also known as Bessè Alto), a restored mountain village dating from the 1700’s. On the ground floor of a traditional lodge, built of stone and wood, the apartment sleeps 5 people. It is a comfortable holiday home for friends or family at any time of year.

The apartment enjoys beautiful views across the valley to the mountains beyond. The entrance is through a sweet garden at the rear of the house. The open-plan living area is stylishly decorated with contemporary pieces. Two sets of French windows ensure that the room is sunny and airy. The room is furnished with a smart sofa, a wood-burning stove and a flat-screen TV. The dining area has a table for 6 people and is separate from the alpine-style wooden kitchen by a convenient island. The kitchen is equipped with an induction hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, Nespresso coffee machine and a fridge/freezer.

The balcony outside the living room offers panoramic views across the valley. Guests can relax with a glass of wine and take in the magnificent scenery.

Sleeping
Bedroom 1: Tucked under the wooden eaves, the master bedroom is furnished with a comfortable, king-size double bed and plenty of wardrobe space.
Bedroom 2: The second bedroom has attractive wooden storage, a single bed and a laptop-friendly workspace.
Bedroom 3: This cosy bedroom has a wooden bunk bed, good storage and a chest of drawers.

Bathroom 1: The chic bathroom has a bath with a showerhead, basin and WC.
Bathroom 2: This modern bathroom has a glass shower, basin, bidet and WC.

Location
The charming village of Bessen Haut is wonderfully located, sunny and peaceful. Guests are lucky to have the excellent Ristorante Misun La Font just a few steps away. The village also has a beautiful chapel – La Cappella di Sant’Anna, which is worth a visit. Guests can enjoy hiking and mountain biking through alpine meadows and excellent skiing in the winter months.

Sestriere (10 minutes) hosted the Winter Olympics in 2006 and has excellent skiing facilities for all ages. Visitors can enjoy cross-country skiing, heli-skiing, ice skating, motor sledging, dog sledging and snowshoeing. The town has a range of restaurants and cafés as well as grocery stores and other amenities.

Valle Argentera (15 minutes) is known for its outstanding natural beauty. Guests can hike by the river near the Ponte Terribile.

Turin airport is a 1 hour and 35-minute drive from the apartment.
