Welcome to Hollyhocks House. It's a large, beautiful and stylish house with 4 spacious king bedrooms that can accommodate up to 8 guests. It's been newly renovated with all new furnishings. I aim to give you the pampered experience of staying in a boutique hotel.
In collaboration with a local professional floral artist called Yulia Lisle, the house has been uniquely decorated with a selection of her beautiful oil paintings, which are available for guests to buy.
The house has been designed to be as comfortable as possible, with king sized luxury pocket sprung hybrid memory foam beds, comfy pillows, duvets and bed linen, plus blackout curtains, so you enjoy a peaceful night's sleep.
Enjoy exclusive access to the house, which means you'll only be with the guests on your booking.
Guests are provided with luxurious Egyptian fluffy cotton towels along with complimentary toiletries.
In the living room, you can relax on the comfy sofa whilst watching on the 55 inch 4K smart TV with Netflix, Disney, Amazon Prime and YouTube apps. Sky Ultrafast fibre Gigabit broadband WiFi is available throughout the house and garden for seamless streaming or web browsing.
The fully-equipped kitchen has modern appliances including twin electric ovens, electric ceramic hob, extractor fan, microwave, 4 slice toaster, kettle, full-size dishwasher and 2 fridge freezers. A selection of complimentary teas, coffees, sugar, biscuits and condiments are provided. You can enjoy cooking whilst socialising with others.
The dining area has a large table for 6 people, that can also be used as a dedicated workspace.
Outside on the patio, you can relax on the comfy armchairs, taking in the view of the beautiful flower garden, enjoying alfresco dining whilst the sun goes down.
The laundry room is equipped with a washing machine with integrated condensing dryer, plus a sink. Guests have the use of a ceramic plated steam iron, a large ironing board, clothes peg and an extending washing line in the garden.
Hollyhocks House is located very close to Solihull town centre where you can find the Touchwood Retail centre with its 70 shops and Cineworld cinema. Go shopping, dining or socialising at night knowing it's just a 5 min drive or 15 min walk back home.
Just over the road is a local shop and Indian takeaway. Within a short 5 min walk are many local shops and small supermarkets, pharmacy, and post office, several Chinese takeaways and a steakhouse pub.
Solihull station is a 20 min walk for a direct 8 min train ride into Birmingham. Jaguar Land Rover is a 4 min drive, 20 min walk. Blythe Valley Business Park is just a 10 min drive. The NEC, Resorts World, Birmingham International train station and Birmingham BHX airport are only a 12 min drive away.
Hollyhocks House is ideally located for those looking to visit the Midlands area with its wide range of attractions, beautiful Cotswold villages, historical towns of Solihull, Warwick, Leamington Spa, Redditch & Stratford-upon-Avon, plus the cities of Birmingham and Coventry.
Guest access
- The private rear car park is accessed via a flat driveway (2.1m height restriction). There are 3 allocated parking spaces, plus a 4th shared. There's additional free parking on the quiet, safe, residential road directly in front of the house.
- Easy, user-friendly access to the house using keys inside a lockbox. The lockbox code will be sent to guests 24 hours before check-in. This means you can arrive and depart at a convenient time without having to meet someone.
- Guests have access to the whole house except specific bedrooms, depending on the number of guests, and how many beds are required. Once you've made a reservation, I'll ask you which bedrooms you need and the others will be locked for your stay. This is to stop guests having other uninvited guests staying overnight.

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Gather used towels
Remove personal items and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Please place all used towels inside the shower or the bath.
Leave bedding on the beds. Please empty the kitchen bins into the wheelie bins in the car park (black for general, brown for recycling).
Turn off all lights and appliances except the microwave, fridge freezers, the oven, hob and Internet router. Leave the TVs on standby. Close the lounge curtains and all windows, with the handles down.
Lock the rear doors using the thumb turn latch. Lock the front door. Lift handle, turn the key. Place the main key back in the lock box and leave the other two spare keys in the kitchen by the kettle.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
