About this property
3 Bed in Padstow (oc-p00524)
Wake up to a spectacular coastal panorama across the Camel Estuary from the balcony of this beautifully furnished holiday home, set high above the picturesque fishing port of Padstow. The spacious property, sleeping six guests and three dogs, has glorious estuary views from all the main rooms. To the rear, a large, light-filled conservatory opens onto a mature garden. This property is an ideal base for a large family or friends who want to explore historic Padstow and glorious golden beaches along the magnificent North Cornwall coast.
This beautiful detached bungalow houses a comfortable lounge and king-size bedroom, both with period leaded light windows and fine estuary views. The splendid open-plan kitchen/diner opens open onto a light and airy conservatory with sofas and doors leading to the enclosed garden. Completing the ground floor, there is a twin bedroom and a shower room with a walk in shower. Upstairs, the master, king-size bedroom with its en-suite bathroom has doors to the balcony. Patio furniture provides seating for drinking in the spectacular vista across the mouth of the estuary to the sandy beach at Rock. Outside, the secluded garden has outdoor furniture and a patio.
Shops, cafes and Padstow’s excellent seafood restaurants are within a 0.5-mile stroll downhill towards the busy working harbour and its colourful fishing boats. Jump aboard the veteran Jubilee Queen (dogs are welcome) for a scenic guided tour along the coast, with possible sightings of sunbathing seals, friendly dolphins and other marine wildlife. Improve your watersports skills at the surf school at dog-friendly Harlyn Bay (3 miles). The golden, sandy beach is one of several family favourites within easy reach on this lovely stretch of coast. Support local fishing communities with a visit to Padstow’s National Lobster Hatchery, where you can adopt a baby lobster.
