About this property
2 Bed in Saxmundham (oc-rvr)
Whisk away three of your loved ones to this charming detached brick cottage where you can stay beside the River Alde in the Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This homely and traditional cottage boasts a tranquil garden where you can dine alfresco while surrounded by mature plants plus characterful interior features like exposed stonework, large sash windows and feature fireplaces. Spend your days exploring the footpaths of Snape Marshes on your doorstep through a wildlife reserve and relax on the nearby expansive beaches.
Step inside to find yourself in a comfortable and spacious lounge with warm-Earthy tones, a plump leather sofa and two armchairs which sit in front of the Smart TV, French doors to the garden and wood-burner effect electric fire. Continue into the kitchen/diner with a farmhouse-style feel from the wooden beam and exposed brickwork. The galley kitchen is bright and neutral-toned with plenty of surface space for preparing a heart meal. Enjoy dinner times at the table and chairs next to the feature fireplace. Climb the cottage-style stairs to reach the first floor which has a family bathroom plus two bedrooms – a king-size and a double. Outside is a sheltered garden with grass, furniture and a rose pergola.
You’ll be surrounded by nature and wildlife during your stay in the small village of Snape Bridge. Start your day with some breakfast at one of the nearby cafes (within 0.5 miles) before strolling into the Snape Marshes nature reserve (0.5 miles) where the River Alde winds its way to the seafront. Visit the quaint town of Aldeburgh (6 miles)and admire the Tudor-style architecture. Spend an afternoon relaxing on Aldeburgh Beach which allows dogs on the northern section.
