About this property
2 Bed in West Lulworth (oc-j33448)
Situated in a quiet spot on the edge of a picturesque Dorset village, this light-filled, stylishly decorated cottage offers fresh and inviting accommodation, perfect for four guests enjoying a relaxing break. Known for its gorgeous thatched cottages, West Lulworth has a friendly pub and makes a great base for exploring a stunning part of the coast, with the beautiful Lulworth Cove just half a mile away. Kimmeridge Bay is to the east (8 miles by foot), or you can head west, with the coastal path leading to the stunning Durdle Door (1 mile), then on past the Smugglers Path and Ringstead Bay (both within 5 miles) to the thriving seaside town of Weymouth (14 miles). This fantastic part of Dorset has a wealth of historic landmarks and interesting attractions, including the Osmington White Horse, The Tank Museum, Monkey World and Careys Secret Garden, all within 12 miles.
The property is reached via a path from the main road, and features a welcoming front garden with a small lawn and a bench offering a charming spot for a morning coffee. A step leads up to the front door, with the welcoming entrance hall providing plenty of space for leaving coats and boots before you head through to the stylishly arranged open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Entering this bright and cheerful room, you will be greeted by the fully equipped and thoughtfully organised kitchen area, with a lovely central farmhouse-style dining table. To one side, the light-filled lounge is an ideal space for you all to unwind in, with a Smart TV, plush seating and a wood burner set in a brick surround. Heading up the winding cottage-style stairs, the first floor features a refreshing bathroom and two cosy bedrooms. The first is a sweet king-size room with a feature fireplace, and the second is a spacious room with a single bed and a pair of bunks. This room is made up for two guests, with the top bunk available on request.
A stable door leads from the kitchen into the cheerful split-level back garden, with a couple of steps leading up onto the patio, which makes a lovely spot for dining alfresco. Please keep pets and children supervised, as there is a steep drop from the raised patio. Parking can be found along the unmade road about 200 metres from the cottage.
