Nearby Umbertide has a large supermarket and travelling market on a Wednesday morning. The underrated city of Perugia with its escalators up through the walls to its ancient buildings and modern clothes shops is a mere 45 minutes away. Day trips can include Siena, Assisi and ceramic capital Deruta.
