This eclectic, spacious one-bedroom apt is the perfect location to enjoy the Texas Hill Country wine trail; minutes from Johnson City and close to Fredericksburg. Nestled in a oak tree grove, this retreat is peaceful and magical at night with a myriad of stars . On our expansive patio and deck your daytime views will be filled with wildlife and wildflowers.

This colorful, art-filled apartment features a king-size bed with memory foam mattress, dining areas indoors and out, living area, bath and full kitchen. Two sets of double doors beckon you onto the patio and deck where you can enjoy a glass of wine while you savor the view of the surrounding hills.

The peace and quiet is extended by a meditation park. A scenic one-mile path offers additional exploration. Complimentary continental breakfast and snacks.

Incredible!

ZENA'S place never disappoints. She is a great hotess and her place has the most incredible views. The king size bed is so comfortable and she always makes us feel so welcome. We have stayed here several times and will stay again!

Perfectly Memorable

Zena's guest house was comfortable, unique, and perfect for our getaway. We had everything we needed for our stay. The location was just minutes away from everything we wanted to do in the area, while being away from town with breathtaking views. We will definitely stay here again!

Absolute Paradise

What a wonderful experience. The sunrise each morning is spectacular. Very private and you can hear the breeze blowing thru the trees on the patio. The wineries are just a short drive away. Lots of wildlife on the land to view. We will definitely be back. Zena is a wonderful host and very inspiring. Thank you for everything. Lee and Terri

Perfect Relaxation

This property has amazing views! The design makes it feel like a 5-star hotel and offers a high class experience unlike any other in the area. The host was so incredibly friendly and made this stay even better.

beautiful site and decoration

We had a wonderful time and would love to have stayed longer. The view from the site is spectacular, and Zena (the owner) is an amazing artist who's decorated the place so everywhere you look, there's a unique piece of art. She's also well supplied the refrigerator - even two beers. Loved it here!

My husband and I found perfect property for us to retired right here in heart of wine country Central Texas. He's retired commercial pilot and I also retired from major airline. I resumed my art career full time. After building our house we decided to share our piece of heaven with travelers seeking peace and quiet. If you enjoy art this is your place. You can see how artwork is being born or even to learn something new. I was born in Czech Republic and still very fluent in Czech language. So you may even practice your Czech and stumble on dumplings or real kolache!

Our property is perfect location for easy access to town and surrounding wineries. You are only 8 minutes drive from town square, one hour from Austin and little over one hour from San Antonio and let's not forget 35 minute ride to Fredericksburg. Our views are awesome being on the hill that expands them to never ending 360.

What makes this property unique

Star gazing and access to art gallery
You will have total privacy. Distance between the apartment and main house is approximately 400 yards. Use of the apartment comes with private art gallery where you can linger with a glass of wine and enjoy my art. Front of the apartment is sprawling wooden deck 40 feet by 12 feet that cantilevers over the hill with breathtaking views. Be prepare to alter your plans and just to decide to stay! If you like to take morning or evening walk you have 30 acres to explore. My personal favorite is sunrise and sunsets!
