About this property
Traditional Old Town house. 160 square meters and a rooftop with an amazing view
Welcome to ‘Maison Amandine’ in the Old Town of Rhodes.
Built in the typical 19th Century Neoclassical style of the Dodecanese Islands, it is a traditional ‘Old Town’ house, where most of the features are still original: cedars beams, old Turkish windows, fireplaces and marble sink. Where renovation was necessary and tried to respect the style and the atmosphere with simplicity.
The house is a spacious, about 160 sq.m., two-story building, topped with a wonderful tower room and a large terrace which overlooks the castle of The Old Town and a fantastic view out to sea.
Can accommodates up to 5 guests.
It is fully furnished. Cotton sheets, towels and all the kitchen amenities are provided. Air Conditioning, WI-FI, washing machine, iron and board, hairdryer.
There is an entrance courtyard, a big kitchen, 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and a beautiful terrace.
The kitchen at the ground floor opens on the courtyard. It's about 25 sqm and a big wooden table can accommodate up to 8 people. At the ground floor there are two bathrooms as well, both completely renewed , one with toilette, sink and washing machine, the second one complete with shower.
First floor: a wide balcony all around the courtyard; the master room, about 25sqm, fireplace and big bed (200x200); a cosy small room, with single bed; the third bathroom, renewed, with shower and toilette.
On the top floor, the tower room, 5 big windows with view all around. It's a great sitting area, and can accommodate two guests as well. One of the window takes to the terrace, perfect to enjoy the view or relax for a romantic full moon night!
Both the master room and the top floor room can be arranged either with a double bed, or twin beds.
The house is located in the Old Town in a quiet neighbourhood, set higher than most houses allowing for a nice cooling breeze and amazing views
The closest Old Town entrance Gate to the house is Saint John's, better known as ‘Kokkini Porta’. It is just few steps away, making it very handy when you have to carry your luggage!
Just outside the Gate, in Filellinon St, there is a convenient parking area as well.
Here, every Thursday morning takes place a small traditional street market.
Restaurants, bars, tavernas, taxi station and bus- stop: everything is at short walking distance!
More…….........well, it's up to you to discover this unique town and its beautiful island: slowly, slowly or "sigà, sigà" as Greeks say.

About the host
Hosted by Diane prieur
I am a passionate traveler, always eager to explore new places and experience different cultures. Born in Denmark and raised on the beautiful island of Rhodes, I’ve been lucky to call this Mediterranean paradise home. I speak five languages, which has helped me connect with people from all over the world during my travels.
Alongside my love for adventure, I am also a proud mother to a little boy, who brings joy and wonder to my life every day!
