The Cottage
Set in the heart of Barton-on-the-Heath, this elegant honey-stone cottage sits among period houses, a village green and a beautiful 12th-century church. It’s a place that immediately feels rooted in its surroundings, peaceful, characterful and unmistakably Cotswold.
Inside, the cottage offers generous and flexible living space, well suited to relaxed weekends, longer stays and gatherings with family or friends.
Living & Dining Spaces
There are two separate reception rooms, giving everyone space to spread out or come together as the mood takes you.
The triple-aspect family room is filled with natural light and features exposed flooring, a character fireplace with cast-iron wood burner, and French doors opening straight onto the garden terrace. It’s a wonderful room for slow mornings, long lunches and evenings by the fire.
Alongside this is a welcoming sitting room with an open fire and comfortable sofa, ideal for cosy nights in, and a separate dining room for shared meals and celebrations.
Kitchen & Practical Spaces
The kitchen is thoughtfully equipped for real living, whether that’s slow breakfasts or family suppers after a day exploring.
You’ll find a double Belfast sink, double oven, integrated appliances, a boiling water tap and a wine fridge. A practical boot room and utility area make countryside life easy, especially after muddy walks or days out with children and dogs.
Bedrooms & Bathrooms
Upstairs, the accommodation is calm and comfortable.
The principal bedroom enjoys lovely views over the mature rear garden and features a super king bed and contemporary en suite shower room. Two further king bedrooms offer flexibility for families or friends, alongside a modern family bathroom with both a luxurious bath and a separate shower. A travel cot is available for little ones.
The Garden
The south-west facing garden is a real highlight.
A large, enclosed lawn offers privacy and plenty of space for children and dogs to play, while the generous patio terrace is perfect for outdoor dining and relaxed summer evenings. Mature planting, a summerhouse and greenhouse give the garden a wonderfully established, cultivated feel.
