Welcome to Paseo Mateo in the heart of San Clemente! My name is John and I own and operate this charming San Clemente vacation rental. I live on-site and work nearby and will do all I can to make sure you have a wonderful stay. The location is perfect to enjoy of all of San Clemente’s best beaches, restaurants, walking trails, stores, surf spots, golf courses, etc. In between your vacation activities, you can rely on Paseo Mateo as a place to relax and unwind.

Paseo Mateo is quiet, private, and perfect for visitors wanting to experience the best of San Clemente. Your vacation home is nicely furnished and has an open floor plan with a fully equipped kitchen. It is on the second floor perched above the single story neighbors with views of palm trees and the Pacific Ocean.

Located on the ocean side of the highway in the desirable southwest section of San Clemente, Paseo Mateo is the perfect starting point for all San Clemente has to offer.

Your second story vacation home has an ocean view, 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The master bedroom is furnished with a queen bed and has a walk-in closet to store your personal belongings. The second bedroom also has a queen bed, walk-in closet, and direct access to the second bathroom. The living room features a 50” flat screen HDTV with Roku, YouTube TV, Netflix, DVR recording, and a voice activated remote control. High speed Wi-Fi internet access is strong throughout the apartment. The fully equipped kitchen has a gas stove, dishwasher, refrigerator, and a Keurig Coffee Maker (with some K-Cups to get you started).

Amenities include: surfboards, boogie boards, beach towels, and beach chairs. Make yourself at home, but get out and explore the wonderful beach town of San Clemente.

House was great! The location was perfect to everything. We took a nice walk to beach from house.

John is super responsive. Any questions we had, he immediately responded to. Really enjoyed this place and will definitely be back!

Comfortable Vacation Home

The property was clean and in good repair. However, one of the pictures representing the home made it appear as if the place was right on the beach with a spectacular view. In fact, it was a distant view with heavy electrical wires blocking some of the view. Also, a couple of the reviewers stated there was a wonderful balcony with an awesome view to watch sun up and sun set. There was a tiny landing with a table and chairs over looking a distant, obstructed view. That was it! I didn't find their description matched the reality of their claims.

This cute little bungalow was perfect for our needs; I loved the ocean view from our balcony. The owner John was very communicative & quick to respond to any questions we had. I would stay here again.

Wonderful place

John is a fantastic host. The apartment was just what we were looking for, was in a great location and is well taken care of. It has an amazing view from the balcony - we enjoyed the ocean and sky in the morning and in the evening. Great sunsets! The beach gear he provided (chairs, umbrellas, towels, etc.) made our stay even more enjoyable. And he was super responsive and super friendly. If we come back to San Clemente, we hope to stay here again! Thanks John!

Cute apartment and close to beach!

My friends and I had a great stay here. Wonderful to have two bedrooms and two bathrooms, and the living room daybed was very comfortable as well. Homey and comfortable and we enjoyed the close proximity to the beach!

Why they chose this property

Paseo Mateo is in a perfect location for all San Clemente has to offer. If you arrive by car, park it in the driveway and leave it there. All of the best restaurants and coffee houses are within a few blocks of your vacation home. Avenida Del Mar (San Clemente's thriving retail and restaurant hub) is only 2 blocks away and a short walk down the street will have you at the San Clemente Pier.

What makes this property unique

My guests appreciate that I live on the property and take care of it like it is my home....because it is! There are 3 very separate and private apartments and I live in one and rent the others. They are all furnished and maintained to a high standard because I like to move from one to another so I can keep them nice.
