Great Location

Great location and amazing views from the rooftop. Walked to most meals and short drives to lots of stuff. Perfect home base for a San Diego vacation. Loved the space, 4 baths, location. Rooftop amazing for sunsets, s’mores, and drinks I own and operate 5 vacation rentals so I’m usually gentle on the reviews but I’ll highlight a couple things but overall we were very pleased with this property. Kitchen lightly stocked, borrowed cookie sheet from neighbors. Wash machine old and rusted so wrestled with it a few times. No water in shower on smaller 2nd floor bedroom, no electricity in smaller 3rd floor bedroom. Small family room so we moved chairs to the bigger bedroom to watch movies before bed. Garage is super tight for a minivan. Usually parked on street to avoid the stress of going in and out. Those minor issues didnt take away from an awesome stay.

Family vacation disappointment

This property is a train wreck. So many mounting issues with this property: Forced to check in late due to cleaning crew still being in the house when we arrived. HVAC unit does not work. Screens on windows missing or torn making it impossible to open the windows to cool the house. No AC forced us to open the windows that we could. The stanch from the trash cans outside made it unbearable to stay in the house. Bug infestation (fly’s, other flying insects, ants and spiders). Dishwasher broken. Electrical outlets in the kitchen do not work. Light above the cooktop does not work. Very limited pots and pans to cook with. Place setting utensils for 8 people when the house is supposed to accommodate 12. Refrigerator doesn’t work properly. The keyless entry door lock does not work properly. Ceiling fan in the master bedroom does not work properly. Faucet in master bathroom does not work correctly. TV in the living room does not work. Couch in living room is so discussing and dirty that nobody wants to sit on it. Smoke detectors were going off all night. Had to replace the batteries myself. Hot tub was not clean. Outdoor furniture rusted out and unusable. BBQ grill does not work properly. Gas Fire pit does not work correctly. I paid over $8,000 USD for this disaster! The overall description of this property is grossly misleading on VRBO. I am so disappointed in this property that I am requesting a refund for my stay.

Teenage Son’s Birthday Trip

Great location: Lots of restaurants, coffee shops, rental shops, markets, and Belmont Park nearby. Steps from sand. Beautiful views from decks. Great layout: main floor great room, second floor master and game room, third floor filled with bunk beds. Four bathrooms! Rooftop deck with hot tub, fire pit, and grill. Issues: Had to hunt for towels; they were hidden in strange places all over the house. Kitchen smelled terribly of mildew coming from sink, and garbage disposal was broken. The stairs are steep and covered with slick tile, so beware of that because there are a lot of them! Rooftop gas fire pit wouldn’t stay on. Grill was very shabby; I would not have used it. Outdoor furniture was in pretty bad shape; peeling paint, rusted, splintery, etc. Communication: Property management didn’t call me back during our stay when I left messages about the fire pit not working. That was one of the huge factors in choosing this property to rent, so we were quite disappointed—in both the situation and lack of customer service. Overall, it’s a great location, a good sleeping layout for a group with kids, and has adequate amenities. However, some improvements could stand to be made for the amount of money they are charging for this place.
