As a previous review said, this is not a cheap rental, but we agree that you generally get what you

As a previous review said, this is not a cheap rental, but we agree that you generally get what you pay for and that was certainly true for us. We hired the apartment for a week over Christmas and had a most enjoyable time with our son staying too. The location is perfect, quiet and overlooking the sea which was less than 5 minute walk away just across the road. Plenty of parking, everything we could possibly have wanted for our stay - and more - there was a lit and decorated Christmas tree with a Christmas card and a bottle of bubbly to welcome us when we arrived - impressive. We all enjoyed making meals in the kitchen which was equipped with all we needed. The fridge & freezer were especially appreciated when the shops were closed for the Christmas break, enabling us to stock up for a few days. Everything was spotlessly clean, a big selection of books, games, DVDs and although we are somewhat past the stage of needing toys to amuse children there was an impressive selection of those too. The local walks, as described in one of the local guide books in the apartment, were enjoyed and provide some good views as well as needed exercise. Aldeburgh is a pleasant, easy, level walk away with places of interest as well as an excellent restaurant as recommended by the owners, The Lighthouse. This is probably the best experience we have had when renting an apartment in the UK and the staff at Aldeburgh Coastal Cottages could not have been more helpful, thank you. We thoroughly recommend.
