Nestled at the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, The Coach House provides an ideal base from which to explore this wonderfully varied countryside. The surrounding area is a haven for walkers and cyclists, with a wealth of scenic routes winding through rolling farmland, quiet lanes and open heathland. Whether you enjoy gentle strolls or longer, more adventurous hikes, there are many paths to discover directly from the doorstep or just a short drive away, as well as the cathedral city of Lincoln being just a short drive.
Cyclists are well catered for, with many peaceful routes across the Lincolnshire countryside and up into the Wolds themselves. The nearby River Witham, close to Woodhall Spa, features a largely off road cycle path linking directly to the historic city of Lincoln, making it perfect for a relaxed day out on two wheels. Families will also find plenty to enjoy locally, from market towns and independent shops to heritage attractions, countryside pubs and nature reserves, ensuring there is something to suit all ages throughout the year.
The Coach House is situated within the grounds of our working farm, close to the main farmhouse. Dating back to Victorian times, it was originally used to house visiting carriages and has since been sympathetically converted into a charming single storey cottage. Views from the property extend across a hay meadow and nearby lakes, creating a peaceful, rural setting. Inside, exposed beams and traditional features add to the warm country character.
This self contained, self catering cottage offers two comfortable bedrooms, one with a kingsize bed and the second an adaptable space with twin beds or a super king. There is a bathroom with a shower and a roll top bath. The open plan living area includes a traditional range style cooker, dining space for four and a cosy open fire. Outside, a small seating area beside the hay paddock is perfect for enjoying the views. Parking for two to three cars, WiFi, Freeview TV and space for up to two dogs complete this welcoming rural retreat.
