Bridgnorth is a historic Shropshire town best known for being a town of two halves. The High Town has good elevated views which Charles I declared to be the finest in all the kingdom, and the Low Town enjoys good views looking up. They are now connected by the steepest inland funicular railway in Britain. Bridgnorth is fortunate to have many attractions scattered around its luscious countryside. You can have an unforgettable day’s time travel by steam railway. Just a short car journey takes you to the world-famous Ironbridge and its popular museums, The Royal Air Force Museum and Boscobel House. A few miles upstream of Bridgnorth is Shrewsbury, England’s finest Tudor town, which has one of the best waterfronts, a wide variety of shops, bars and a riverside theatre. Attingham Park, Benthall Hall, Dudmaston Hall, Rays Farm Country Matters, Much Wenlock, West Midland Safari Park, Cleobury Mortimer and Ludlow are also well worth a visit.
