Outside, there is an enclosed front lawn and off‑road parking for several cars. Three well‑behaved pets welcome, but sorry, no smoking. A shop and pub are both 0.1 mile away. Fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price. Note: Starter fuel provided with additional fuel available to purchase. Dilston House offers a delightful rural escape. Region: The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.

Town: The idyllic village of Goathland is set on the north eastern edge of the North York Moors National Park. It is surrounded by the rugged open moorlands which provide excellent walking country and on which sheep graze freely. The village has been popularised by the television programme Heartbeat. At the bottom of the village lies the station for the famous North York Moors Steam Railway. Here you can catch a train to Whitby or Pickering and relax as the train winds its way through the moors. Goathland is within easy reach of the East Coast towns of Whitby, Staithes, Robin Hoods Bay and Scarborough, making it a great holiday base.
