Kawartha Lakes Log Home Coboconk - perfect family spot, lawn, beach, and deck

Log home on Shadow Lake with large grass area, beach, boat dock, bbq deck, firepit. Inside is a large open living room with massive fireplace, 2 bedrooms upstairs, one with a queen bed, one with a double bed, 1 large master bedroom (w/king bed) on the main floor and a TV/4th bedroom perfect for kids to bunk together that has 2 double size futons. Most suited for 4 to 6 adults and smaller children. On the deck you will find a bbq and plenty of Muskoka chairs, as well as a relaxing outdoor seating area! We also have an outdoor firepit!! The view from the deck and main windows is south down the lake, just lovely! We are 5 kms away from the town of Coboconk which has the Patti House (famous local landspot!), a Subway, Foodland, beer store, LCBO. 20 minutes to Fenellon Falls, Bobcaygeon and Minden (home to the world famous Kawartha Dairy). We are perfect for families with small children and adult family reunions. Pet friendly

The pictures online do not do justice to the cottage and property. It is very spacious inside and has a very nice (new) large deck and sizeable backyard - both of which we enjoyed during our seven day stay - and a nice great room and kitchen area. The wifi worked well and allowed us to work during our stay. The property is private and secluded from the neighboring properties and we were able to enjoy walks with our dog on surrounding lanes and roads. Our dog was also able to enjoy many swims leveraging the sandy walk-in waterfront. The owner (Jane) was very responsive and a pleasure to deal with, and the check in and checkout process was seamless and easy. We would definitely recommend this rental property and would welcome a chance to visit again in future years.

Kawartha oasis

Excellent experience at this lakefront property. Beautiful home, lots of features including hot tub, fireplace, BBQ, and watercraft- owners were very responsive to concerns, and provided excellent orientation information. Would return for another weekend getaway!

Wonderful Experience!

We had an AMAZING time at the cottage! It was large enough for our 2 families, has everything that you could need and is gorgeous…..the pictures don’t do it justice! The location was picture perfect for star-gazing, boating, fishing and nightly fires. We made wonderful memories and hope to come back next summer!

Jane and Carl are such generous hosts. We love this cottages so much we try to rent it a few times a year. Its big and homey, and right on a lovely lake. The kids now have their "own" room they claim every time we come back!

Beautiful property

This is a lovely property with wonderful owners that are extremely responsive and helpful (thanks Jane!). We were luck enough to be there for one of the first snowfalls of the season (in mid-Nov) and it was incredible to watch from the comfort of the hot tub. The fireplace was also wonderful and so atmospheric on cold nights. We just loved this place and hope to be back at some point in the future!

March. Break Retreat

My family and I had a wonderful time at this cottage. It’s spacious and absolutely gorgeous. The private road is nice and quiet and the setting is beautiful. We enjoyed the hot tub, fireplace and the comfort. It’s truly a luxurious property. Jane was very helpful and checked in with us. A super host indeed! Highly recommend thiis beautiful spot.

Stunning cottage

We rented this stunning cottage for our annual fishing trip and were very pleased with our choice. The hosts communicated well and gave us all the information we needed for our arrival. The cottage was clean, the beds were comfortable and it had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. We got quite a bit of fishing in and ate like kings. I will definitely be back in the future and highly recommend it to anyone that is considering renting this beautiful cottage

THE CHRISTMAS COTTAGE

This has been the 4th year our family has stayed at the Christmas cottage' We had a wonderful time!!! I am the self appointed cook for these 4 days and the kitchen is superb. The hot tub in the frosty air, a cozy living room with a roaring fire, two tables... one for eating and one for puzzling, lots of places to sleep and the list goes on. Memories that will last a lifetime.

A piece of paradise

Has everything you could need! Private, well-equipped, comfy king sized bed, beautiful lake, great fire pit, fun kayaks, and so close to Coboconk for groceries, ice cream, and tasty Riverbank pizza. Safe swimming (a little weedy, but nice easy access). Jane was so helpful with our questions.

An Absolute Gem!

This property is phenomenal! Location can't be beat being within five minutes of Coboconk, the log home is large, open concept, private and has a massive fireplace and a hot tub. It truly is the quintessential cottage. Jane and Carl are exceptional hosts and made the rental process seamless. If you're looking for an escape from reality in a setting that supercedes your imagination, this is it! We will definitely be back!

Much needed getaway!

We found this lovely cottage originally as a pet friendly property. Then as a getaway for us, then we invited two friends, then two more friends. The hosts were beyond accommodating. All booking and communication was excellent. The property is beautiful, the view of Shadow Lake in the Winter is very nice, considering it does not freeze over. It's very relaxing watching the water flow. Kitchen, master, washrooms are all spacious and equipped beyond necessity. Hopefully, we will be welcomed back next year, if life permits! Thanks to the Owners, for an awesome, well needed getaway.

Fantastic place for a Girls Winter Weekend

We could not have been happier with our experience at the Log Home on Shadow Lake. I will reiterate what other people have said here - the photos don't even do this place justice. It was so beautiful with so much space, and so very nice and clean. The couch in front of the fireplace is so cozy, and two nice reading chairs in front of the windows looking out to the lake is just ideal. Amazing and huge kitchen with everything you could possibly need. Beds were and bedding provided were very comfortable. We all had great sleeps while there. Jane was so fantastic at communicating with us before the trip, answering so many questions about outdoor stuff nearby or whatever else we wanted to know about. Great skiing just a short drive away, and beautiful laneways for nice winter walks. And then to be able to go into into the hot tub afterwards was so fantastic! Check-in was seamless, as was leaving the place. Jane always was in contact if needed, but didn't feel overbearing like she was checking in constantly. I almost don't want to tell people how amazing this place is in order to always be able to book in the future! This place is truly a gem and we hope we get the opportunity to stay at this wonderful place again. Thanks so much Jane and Carl.
