Oak Cottage is an idyllic retreat for those wanting to explore the Peak District National Park. One well-behaved dog is welcome (If you are bringing a dog, it must be listed on the booking form prior to arrival, for the safety and comfort of all guests dogs must remain on a lead at all times while on the property).

The village of Bolsterstone stands on the edge of the peak District National Park, between Stocksbridge and Ewden Valley. This historic village boasts a pub that is nearly 200 years old, as well as being the home of the Bolsterstone Male Voice Choir, which was formed in 1934. Nearby Stocksbridge holds a variety of eateries and shops, together with many bridleways and footpaths, while Broomhead and Langsett dams make for interesting afternoon rambles.
