About this property

Heron Beck | Ridgestone

Summary:

Heron Beck is a beautifully designed five-bedroom country home set in a peaceful rural location near Ulverston, on the edge of the Lake District National Park. Surrounded by open countryside and enjoying far-reaching views from every level, the house offers generous living space across a unique split-level layout, ideal for families and groups. Designed to bring people together while still offering space to unwind, Heron Beck is perfectly suited to multi-generational stays, with a variety of living areas, a private garden, balcony and easy access to walking and cycling routes from the doorstep.

The Space:

Heron Beck is an architect-designed home arranged across five half levels, offering a unique layout that provides both sociable spaces and quiet corners to retreat to.

On arrival, guests are welcomed into a cosy mid-level snug, complete with a wood-burning stove, comfortable seating and a Smart TV, creating a warm and inviting space to relax. From here, the house unfolds across multiple levels.

The kitchen and dining space sit just below, forming the heart of the home. Well-equipped for self-catering, it includes a Range oven, hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer, along with thoughtful additions such as a Nespresso coffee machine, slow cooker and more. A large dining table provides the perfect setting for shared meals and gatherings.

The property offers five bedrooms in total, accommodating up to ten guests. These include a mix of king, double and twin rooms, with two twin rooms able to be configured as a super king on request. One bedroom is conveniently located near the kitchen, while the remaining bedrooms are set across the upper levels of the house.

The upper floors continue the sense of space and light, with a second lounge offering a relaxing seating area and access to a wooden balcony where guests can enjoy elevated views across the surrounding countryside.

There are two bathrooms and one en suite shower room, all finished in a contemporary style. The main bathroom features both a bath and a separate shower, while an additional bathroom and en suite provide flexibility for larger groups.

Outside, the property enjoys a thoughtfully landscaped garden and a spacious terrace with outdoor seating, ideal for al fresco dining. The elevated balcony offers a peaceful spot to unwind and take in the views, particularly in the evening.
