Little Green Cottage. Cosy cottage tucked away in heart of historic Dorchester
This cottage, built around 1790, is a place that we hold very dear to our heart. From the moment you step through the door, you can feel the centuries of stories held within these walls. Whether it’s the original timber beams or the glow of the fireplace on a quiet evening, there is a certain magic here —a warmth and charm that only a Grade 2 listed home can truly offer.
We have done our best to ensure that while you’re surrounded by history, you don’t want for any modern comforts. From the crisp bedding to a fully stocked kitchen and laundry facilities, everything is ready for you to simply drop your bags, put the kettle on, and start your holiday.
We truly love this cottage, and have put so much care into making it a welcoming home away from home. Our hope is that by the time you leave, you’ll love it just as much as we do.
Why you’ll love staying here: There is nothing quite like waking up in a country cottage. The pace of life just seems to slow down. You can spend your mornings enjoying a coffee in the beautiful garden surrounded by nature and the tranquility and your evenings tucked away in a space that feels like a world of its own. It’s more than just a place to sleep; it’s a place to breathe. Have a wonderful stay, and enjoy every moment of your Dorset adventure!

We visited Dorchester 4-5 years ago and fell in love with the place so much that we packed up our lives and moved here! The town is quaint and small yet has everything you need. The people here are lovely and just feels interesting, welcoming and friendly. We were also drawn to the amazing Jurassic coastline where we enjoy paddleboarding and exploring the beautiful, scenic country walks. We're so excited to offer our wonderful home for your next Dorset adventure.
