About this property

The small, red wooden house with lots of charm

As you drive down the gravel road, the small wooden house peeks out from among the fruit trees and welcomes you with its bright red color. Here you will quickly be struck by the charm and old soul of the house. The house, which dates from 1918, has been modernized, but the interior is true to its original style, so the spirit has been preserved and you can really feel the coziness spread.

In the living room, you can get engrossed in some of the historical elements, such as the old photographs on the wall. Here you can feel like you're becoming part of the history of the house as you light up the old-fashioned wood-burning stove and read a magazine or newspaper under the reading lamp. You can also climb the staircase and take a look at the cozy loft, where the light falls beautifully through the crescent window. There's room for two of you to sleep in the double bed under the tilting bed. In the kitchen, you can boil water in the whistling kettle and drink a cup of black tea while looking out to the garden.

Outside, you can sit on the soft lounge furniture under the rustling leaves, as the terrace is built around one of the garden's fruit trees. In the morning, you can feel the damp grass under your toes as you walk down to one of the sun loungers. In late summer you can find berries, and in the fall you can pick apples and maybe bake an apple pie to eat on the terrace under the string lights. You can also bring a book and find the hammock in the quiet corner of the garden.

Next to the house, you can walk down to the water via the private beach stairs. Take a short dip in the winter and quickly return to the warmth of the house. If you want fish for dinner, you can stop by Den Friske Fisk and buy some goodies to take home. If you prefer to eat out, you can also visit Rabarbergården, where you can sit in the orangery and enjoy a delicious three-course menu. If you take the car and drive a little further away, you can visit Esrum Kloster & Møllegård, where you can experience interesting exhibitions or buy some of Esrum's own monastery products in the shop.
