If you drive out to the nature-rich Røsnæs, you will experience charming, thatched holiday idyll in this house. The history is in the walls of the house, which was built in the mid-1800s. If the walls could talk, they would probably tell you about everything they have experienced. But now you can create your own experiences and become part of the house's history. You can easily bring both children and pets, because here at the end of the gravel road in the small valley you are all welcome. You'll also find a small horse paddock by the house - so it's possible to bring your horse on vacation.
When you step inside, you'll find the living room, which ties the whole house together. You can gather around board games in the evening or enjoy a cognac in front of the fireplace after the kids have gone to bed. Above the living room is an open mezzanine. Here the children can safely fall asleep under the sloping ceiling to the sound of a muffled conversation from the living room. In the kitchen, you'll feel the charm of the old-fashioned, idyllic decor again. Heat up a pan and bake pancakes with the kids. From the kitchen you have access to the patio. If it's late summer, you can pick berries to decorate the pancakes, or sit out on the west-facing terrace with your afternoon coffee.
Outside the house, there's a large lawn where the dog can run free and splash in the stream. In the small house you'll find the bathroom, so turn on a flashlight if you're visiting at night. In the fall, you can pick fruit from the trees and the kids can jump on the trampoline before the cold sets in. In the winter months, the place transforms into a silent and breathtaking sight as the snow settles on the surrounding meadows and pine trees in the forest. So put on your winter boots and listen to the crunch of snow underfoot as you build snowmen in the courtyard.
Around the house you'll find the forest, the sea and the meadow. Say hello to the horses in the paddock or take a walk to the water. Not far from the house you'll find long hiking trails and experience the dramatic nature of Røsnæs with its wild cliffs and rocky beaches. You can also stop by Røsnæs Lighthouse to see the exhibition or enjoy an ice cream in the café.
