About this property

Mountain Base for Active Explorers

From this unique cabin, you can experience the best of both worlds - a majestic panoramic view of the mountains and a short walk to the center of Oppdal. The cabin is secluded and combines peace and quiet with proximity to a lively and hospitable local community. The sunny terrace invites you to enjoy lazy summer days and meals under the open sky, while enjoying the feeling of sitting in the middle of the mountains.

The thoughtful floor plan and large windows bring nature right into the living room. Here you can gather for meals and cozy moments overlooking a landscape that constantly changes expression with the seasons.

Oppdalsbygda is located between Dovrefjell and Trollheimen - an eldorado for nature-based activities for the whole family. Oppdal is one of Norway's largest municipalities, with huge mountain areas and a varied cultural landscape. This makes the area ideal for both short and long bike rides and mountain hikes in beautiful Norwegian terrain. The tours range from easy trails to demanding summit tours, but what they all have in common is close contact with untouched nature, green valleys, idyllic farms, clean fishing lakes and clear mountain air.

In summer and autumn, you can follow an extensive network of marked hiking trails, or embark on a pilgrimage all the way to Nidaros Cathedral in Trondheim - with the help of the 45,000 sheep that naturally maintain the trails. And once you're here, a musk ox safari is almost mandatory. With a camera and guide in tow, you can meet these impressive animals from a safe distance.

In the surrounding area, there are adventures for all tastes. Lake Gjevilvatnet tempts you with its white sandy beach and opportunities for swimming and canoeing. The Driva river offers both rafting and good fishing opportunities. Via "Opplev Oppdal" you can also book activities such as river rafting, ziplining and tailor-made experiences in the leisure park. As the day draws to a close, head into the town center to sample local delicacies and freshly baked artisan bread at Sprø bakery.

Here in Oppdal, it's easy to find peace - and just as easy to find adventure
