Fantastic charming cabin by Tinnsjøen

Overlooking Tinnsjøen and Gaustatoppen, surrounded by trees and beautiful mountain scenery, you will find this large log cabin. It consists of 2 accommodation units "Maurudstua" and "Bjørnerudstua", plus an annex, which can be used as two separate cabins with access to each other, if desired. This makes it possible to bring lots of people on a cabin trip, enjoy each other's company, but also get some privacy. The cabin has a fantastic location with a lovely view and good sun conditions all year round.



Inside the cabin, the charming atmosphere reaches new heights, with traditional elements that can give you the feeling of being in the middle of a Norwegian folk tale. In the fantastic Bjørnerudstua, there are high ceilings, an eye-catching timber structure and a beautiful influx of light from the large windows with a view that acts as a natural part of the interior. At the long table in the living room, you can enjoy each other's company and let the warmth embrace you from the large, open fireplace. In Maurudstua you'll find a large kitchen/family room, where the whole family can enjoy themselves.



The cabin has a terrace where you can enjoy the magnificent view of Lake Tinnsjøen and Gaustatoppen in the sunshine, and get direct access to the outdoor area directly below the cabin. There you'll find a dining area, fire pit and wood-fired hot tub to enjoy after a long day out in nature. After 15 minutes in the hot tub, you can run into the sauna downstairs and repeat the procedure until you get tired. The area around the cabin is planted with lawn and fruit trees, and there are beautiful forest trails connected to the cabin where there is also a tree house where children can play. The cabin is located at the foot of Hardangervidda, a 15-minute drive away, and offers fantastic nature experiences all year round. Whether you want to swim, fish, climb mountain peaks, go skiing or try your hand at ice fishing, the local area offers everything you could wish for.
