You’ll be staying in a converted church with impressive 6-meter-high ceilings. The large living room is an open space with beautiful natural light streaming in from multiple angles, and in the evening you can see the moon and stars through the high windows on the mezzanine. The large wooden deck winds its way around the house, allowing you to follow the sun all day long.
The house is open and welcoming, with a focus on the large common area, where the open kitchen and living room with a wood-burning stove bring you together. There are several nooks where you can retreat, so even if there are several of you, there’s room to find your own corner. Please note that the mezzanine has a steep staircase and open railing, so it is not suitable for small children or those with mobility issues.
The 3,000-square-meter natural property features tall pine trees and a wild garden. There is a fire pit up on the hill with a view of the surrounding area. In the summer, the garden is secluded with views of the nature and trees around it. Wild game roams through the garden, and if the wind blows toward the house, you can hear the waves of the sea.
In the area, you’ll find great restaurants like Mota and Erta, local gems such as Café Den Blå Ged and Odden Fisk, as well as cultural experiences at Dragsholm Castle and Malergaarden. There are farm stands, hiking trails, and Odsherred Zoo nearby.
