About this property
Architect-designed holiday home by the sea on Læsø
In the middle of the wooded countryside in the eastern part of Læsø, you will find this unique architect-designed summer house, signed by Hanne Kjærholm. With its floating roof construction and mullioned glass facade, the house blends harmoniously with the surrounding nature, while offering breathtaking sea views.
The house's 150 square meters are spread over two floors, with architecture inspired by the classic Læsø seaweed houses. Around the brick core, you will find the kitchen, fireplace room, and dining room—all with views of the water. The three bedrooms are distributed with one on the ground floor and two on the first floor, where a large common room also offers a view of the heart of the house below.
The south-facing terrace with outdoor kitchen invites you to enjoy long summer days, while the spacious bathroom with its mosaic-tiled shower leads to a special experience: an outdoor bath under the open sky. Practical facilities such as a pantry, garage, and tool shed complete this unique home.
From your private oasis, it is only 1.5 kilometers to the charming harbor environment in Østerby Harbor. Here you can explore local specialties such as Læsø salt, freshly caught lobster, and honey from brown bees. The many hiking trails in the area lead you through varied forests to the island's famous beaches.
