Central Llandeilo with Stunning views- Sleeps 2

Church Street Cottage is a charming retreat for two, nestled in the heart of the picturesque market town of Llandeilo.

This intimate space offers the perfect base for exploring the vibrant town, boutique shops, local eateries, and the beautiful Carmarthenshire countryside.

Kick back at the end of the day and enjoy a glass of wine on the balcony, soaking in sweeping views over the stunning Towy Valley – a truly magical spot to unwind as the sun sets.

Step in from the street and straight into the open-plan living, dining, and kitchen area – a warm, welcoming space with everything you need for a comfortable stay. All of the wooden furniture downstairs has been hand-designed and crafted to suit the cosy space.

The kitchen’s got all the essentials, including a Tassimo coffee machine, toaster, kettle, microwave, oven, hob, washing machine and an under-counter fridge/freezer. Plus, those kitchen views make doing the dishes surprisingly enjoyable!

There’s a comfy two-seater sofa and a lovely handmade dining table – great for a relaxed breakfast or dinner at home. We’ve also got a few books on the shelf and a SMART TV, perfect for lazy mornings or rainy evenings.

Upstairs, the main bedroom has a comfy double bed and two bedside tables with soft lighting for a cosy vibe. Guests often tell us they’ve had some of their best sleep here!

All of our bedding and towels are professionally laundered. We provide one bath towel and one hand towel per guest as well as bath mats and tea towels.

The second bedroom is set up as a dressing room/office, with a handmade wooden dressing table that doubles as a desk – ideal if you’re planning to work remotely or just want a quiet spot to get ready.

The bathroom includes a bathtub with an overhead shower, a toilet and a sink. We provide hotel-sized toiletries and locally made hand wash.

Outside, you’ve got your own balcony where you can enjoy your morning coffee or relax with a book, all while taking in those stunning valley views.

There are several reading books as well as a SMART TV for you to enjoy on a rainy day.

Upstairs, there are two bedrooms. One of which is utilised as a dressing room/ office. The handmade wooden dressing table can be utilised as a desk if you plan to use the property as a base to work remotely. This room can offer you the privacy to work without interruptions.

The bedroom has a comfortable double bed and two bedside cabinets.

The bathroom has a bathtub with an overhead shower, WC and sink.

Externally, guests can enjoy a balcony allowing you to take in the incredible views across the valley.

Guests have access to the entire property during their stay.

I won`t be available in person. I am only a short drive away should you need anything at all during your stay.

Places to see:

National Botanical Gardens -
Experience jaw-dropping displays of plants from all over the world. A slow-paced day spent taking in the beauty that the planet has to offer, really is inspirational and worth a visit. Whilst visiting the Gardens it would be worth the short journey to Paxton’s Tower while you are in the area.

Newton House -
Newton House is a 17th-century manor house; a space with exhibitions and contemporary interventions reflecting on the varied aspects of life at Dinefwr over the centuries. Connected to the Fountain Garden with expansive views out to the Deer Park.

Dinefwr Castle -
Dinefwr castle is a 12th century castle with scenic breathtaking views.

Pen Y Fan -
This is the highest mountain in Southern Britain at 886m above sea level. A popular destination for walkers and views from the summit are spectacular.

Shopping in Llandeilo is an absolute pleasure, this colourful, picturesque town is scattered with an array of numerous small independent shops, boasting one of the best destinations for shopping in Wales. Here you will find many unique one off items, fashionable clothing including many designer labels, high quality home wares, bespoke furniture, award winning local food suppliers, local crafts, Florists, our very own Auction house and Antiques including and an extensive Antique & Garden Centre.

Visit Aberglasney Gardens -
Aberglasney was made famous by the BBC television series “A Garden Lost in Time” which followed its restoration. Today it is quite simply one of Wales’ finest gardens. A renowned plantsman’s paradise with a unique Elizabethan cloister garden at its heart, Aberglasney offers the opportunity to explore more than 10 acres of magnificent gardens which along with the fully restored ground floor of Aberglasney’s grade II* listed mansion offer a stunning venue for weddings, exhibitions and events.

The Cawdor -
One of the most popular restaurants and venues in the County with a great menu for lunch and evening meals. You will find a slabbed courtyard to retire to after a good meal to relax in the atmosphere. We have enjoyed many a drink in front of the fire during the winter months and enjoyed the outdoor music during the summer evenings.

Diod -
You can enjoy a relaxing coffee in a cosy coffee shop located in the heart of Llandeilo. If you’re feeling peckish cakes and a light bites menu including, brunch items, sandwiches and salads is served all day.

Cegin Diod -
Cegin Diod, located opened in September 2023 as Diod’s second location. Part of the newly renovated former Market Hall in Llandeilo, Cegin Diod is a light airy space serving breakfast and lunch throughout the day. Building on the menu in Diod, at Cegin Diod you can enjoy a full Welsh breakfast, brioche buns, hot food or something lighter.


The Duffnuts Co -
If you’re fancying something sweet, Duffnuts is a charming donut and coffee shop celebrated for its handcrafted donuts, milkshakes, and coffee.

The Plough -
Just a short drive to the outskirts of Llandeilo at Rhosmaen Street, a lovely location with beautiful views over the mountains of the Tywi Valley that can be enjoyed from the outdoor dining area.

Heavenly -
Is situated in the centre of Llandeilo, an award-winning dessert shop with so much on offer, you will likely never have seen another like it!

The Salutation Inn -
A local pub near to the town centre with a good atmosphere and a fantastic beer garden to take advantage of during the longer nights.

Pitchfork and Provision -
An independent artisan bakery and café situated in the heart of Llandeilo. Their café menu together with market produce are prepared in house by a team of professional chefs and bakers to provide the tastiest breads as well as savouries, pastries and cakes.

There is a train station and bus station in Llandeilo. Both of which are within walking distance of the property.

There is a public car park a short walk away which also has facilities for car charging.

We provide a parking permit which you will need to display on your car when you park outside.
Parking is on the road outside but we don`t have a designated space for the property.

Please note we currently have scaffolding up at the cottage, and as a result, the price has been discounted to reflect this.
