Architect's house from 1915 near Henne Strand

You will be staying in a unique cottage from 1915, designed by architect Svend Risum and built by the current owner's great-grandparents. The house has remained almost unchanged since its construction, with original details and artwork by the great-grandmother throughout.



The house has been carefully preserved in its old style, but with an upgraded kitchen and an extra bathroom. There is no TV, dishwasher, or Wi-Fi here—instead, you will find many books and games waiting for you. The windy outdoor area has good sheltered areas in front of the house with morning sun and by the garage. Due to fire hazards, open fires and barbecues are strictly prohibited outdoors.



You can walk or cycle to the beach across the marsh in 20-30 minutes, or explore the plantation with views from Hattebjerget. At Nymindegab Camping, you will find a playground, pool area, and mini golf. Henne Strand offers a lifeguard and beach café, while Hvide Sande (25 km) is a lively fishing village with a child-friendly beach and surfing area.



The area is rich in nature with good walks along the fjord and in the plantation. Birdwatchers can visit Tipperne, Filsø, or Skjern Enge. Try water sports at Westwind in Bork or Hvide Sande, visit the Flight Museum in Oxbøl or Tirpitz at Blåvand. Grocery stores can be found in Nr. Nebel (8 km), and bike rental is available at the campsite.
