Cozy log cabin in Mad River Valley, VT - Near Mad River Glen and Sugarbush

Our newly remodeled log home in the beautiful Mad River Valley has spectacular views of the Green Mountains and is within 15 minutes of the Mad River Glen and Sugarbush ski areas. Nordic skiing areas are also nearby. Located on a paved road, access is easy year-round; four-wheel drive not needed to get here. The main floor of our home includes a fully-equipped kitchen with a large island, stainless steel appliances and plenty of pots and pans and dishes to create a special meal; a dining area and a comfortable living room where you can enjoy the ambiance of the gas-fired fireplace without having to feed a wood stove. Radiant floor heat throughout warms your feet on those cold mornings.

Our home has three bedrooms, two of which have queen-size beds. The third bedroom is set up with two single beds. A Pack and Play is available. Board games are here for your evening enjoyment.

In warm weather, you can barbecue steaks or veggie burgers on the grill and sit on the back deck taking in the awesome view of the mountains. From the back of our home, the adjacent land trust property has multiple trails you can explore on skis, mountain bikes or on your feet. In the summer, you can paddle and swim in the nearby Blueberry Lake, visit swimming holes or enjoy fly fishing in the Mad River, hike in the mountains, cycle the back roads or play golf at the Sugarbush course. The house is also located near the Common Road, which is great for walking, running or cycling. In the fall, you can take in our ever changing foliage. Our home is three miles from historic Waitsfield Village, with its artisan shops, restaurants and movie theater, five miles from historic Warren Village, less than a mile from the Inn at Round Barn and 30 minutes from Montpelier and Stowe. 45 minutes to Burlington.
