Offering snug and cosy accommodation for up to seven guests, this bright, fresh and airy hideaway makes a fantastic base for eager walkers, beach lovers and nature spotters keen to discover a breathtaking corner of West Wales. The property sits in the northern part of New Quay, within easy reach of a wide range of great pubs, shops, bars and restaurants. The town has three beautiful beaches: Harbour Beach, Traeth Gwyn and the nearest, the pet-friendly Traeth y Dolau. From the harbour, you can take a boat trip out to explore the spellbinding Cardigan Bay coast, with chances to spot dolphins out to sea. For water sports enthusiasts, Cwmtydu Beach is ideal for kayaking (5 miles), or you can head north to the colourful Georgian-era Aberaeron (7.5 miles). Inland, the National Trust-owned Llanerchaeron is open to the public, an elegant villa designed by Nash in the 18th century (9 miles).
A welcoming porch leads through to the entrance hallway with ample space for leaving coats and shoes. Heading through, the generous lounge has a TV, soft furnishings, a cheery wood burner and patio doors allowing light to stream in, offering an ideal space for you all to unwind in after a great day out. To the rear of the property you will find a handsome dining room and a convenient, fully equipped kitchen. The ground floor also features the first of the property's four delightful bedrooms: a relaxing double with sea views. Going upstairs, there are three further bedrooms, all with lovely sea views – a cosy king-size room with its own en-suite shower room, a cheerful twin, and a cute single. The first floor also features a refreshing main bathroom.
Outside, the enclosed triple-tiered back garden has a sweet ground-level patio area with outdoor furniture, providing a relaxing spot for dining alfresco on a sunny summer day. A decked area sits along the third tier, with beautiful sea views. Further seating can be found in the pretty courtyard to the front of the cottage. Please note: the garden is steep so children should be supervised. Parking can be found on-street or in the nearby public car park (charges apply).
