The Somerset Levels covers 160,000 acres and is one of England’s most unchanged landscapes (and where King Alfred burned the cakes!), due to being home to three Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty; Blackdown Hills, the Quantocks and the Mendips. The ancient beauty and diverse wildlife of the area (you'll make plenty of four-legged and feathered friends) inspires many artists and photographers, whilst the surrounding countryside has many pretty villages, footpaths and cycle trails.
