This picture-perfect cottage in the village of Gillamoor is well-placed for families to enjoy the best of what the North York Moors has to offer: the famous Blakey Ridge (8 miles) with its spectacular views; the North York Moors with its rolling hills, ancient woodlands and winding rivers; and pretty, historic market towns/villages, such as Hutton-le Hole (2.5 miles), Helmsley (8 miles) and Pickering (10 miles) with their wealth of cafes, tea rooms and restaurants. Why not join the Cleveland Way National Trail that'll take you through some of these delightful places and give you an excuse for tucking into some of the culinary delights on offer? You could also venture further east to the Yorkshire coast, approximately 25 miles from the property.
Set over two floors, the ground floor is home to the spacious open-plan lounge/dining area which is full of charm, original features and timeless furniture. At the centre is the wood burner providing warmth and a cosy ambience on chilly evenings or cold, winter days, whilst the light walls create a sense of space. Also on the ground floor is the country-style kitchen, which is well equipped and has views of the beautiful garden. Upstairs, you will find the two bedrooms: one king-size and one twin. Both have an effortlessly simple country feel and are warm and welcoming. The perfect place to rest those weary legs after a day of exploring. The family bathroom is nestled between the two rooms.
Outside, there is a wonderful courtyard to the front of the house, but it is the garden to the rear that adds the wow factor. With its manicured lawn, mature trees and views across the neighbouring paddock, it is the perfect location for a glass of wine and a BBQ on a warm, summer's evening. A shared laundry room with a washing machine is also available for use.
