Panoramic views and ski trails in Rauland

From the terrace of this two-story cabin, built in 2015, you can watch the sun from mid-morning until it sets behind Raulandsfjell. The panoramic view of the mountains and the remote-controlled heating ensure that the cabin is warm and ready when you arrive—no matter the season.



Inside, the style is classic cabin with wood paneling, warm details, and personalized decor. The first floor features a kitchen, a living room with access to the terrace, a master bedroom, a bathroom, a sauna, and a laundry room. On the second floor is an additional living room with its own balcony. Two bedrooms have double beds, and two have family bunk beds with 120-mattresses underneath—all featuring high-quality mattresses. This allows two children to sleep in the lower bunks, accommodating up to 10 people. The cabin is allergy-friendly and well-suited for people with pet allergies.



Behind the cabin, Holtardalen opens up to a tranquil mountain lake. In winter, you can put on your skis right outside the door and head out into a vast network of cross-country trails and ski slopes in Silkedalen. In summer, the valley offers circular hikes and summit hikes.



Falkenuten is a popular destination in the area. The hike is manageable for most people, and the “sherpa steps” up the mountainside are an experience in themselves. From the summit, the view is so stunning that you’ll want to sit there for a while.
