It was indeed a charming cottage, has everything a family need (and more!) for a short stay. We were there for a month and were comfortable with the house, the location and the nearby amenities! Check in and check out was smooth, owner was easily contactable for queries throughout. Would definitely recommend to stay!

This is a very clean, tidy, well kept home with a lovely backyard. And a short drive from everywhere we wanted to go (aquarium, beaches, tide pools). We had a terrific stay here!

Very clean and well taken care of, enjoyed every minute we were there. Would stay again! House has everything and host had tons of extras available. Quiet and calm neighborhood. Location is central to everything you need and a short drive to all activities in the area.

Phenomenal outdoor space

Perfect for holiday

House is very closed to all famous things to do (Monterey aquarium, Carmel by the sea, beach,…). There is a very beautiful garden, and the house is confortable with all necessary equipments. All was perfect!

The house was perfect! Everything we needed. Easy access to highway and shopping. The house was clean, adorable, and very comfortable! The host was responsive! Loved cooking on the stove and bbq in the beautiful backyard!

Amazing Home and Backyard

Can't come up with enough superlatives to describe our stay in Seaside. Wonderful home, fully available kitchen appliances, sparkling everything. No other ways to describe our happiness with Barbara's home. We highly recommend this home for anyone wishing to visit one of the best areas in California. Monterey has everything for everybody.

Excellent Experience!

There are many highlights to note: the cottage was clean and well stocked (some extra thoughtful essentials and toiletries included as well), the backyard was an oasis (as others have mentioned - the photos don't do it justice), check in/out was a breeze, the location is excellent (10-15 minutes to Monterey Bay Aquarium, Point Lobos, etc) and Barbara was an absolute pleasure to work with! She went above and beyond to make our experience enjoyable. We traveled with our three children (ages 4, 1 and 5 months) and found the cottage to feel very comfortable with the kids. They loved the backyard! We look forward to visiting again!

Nice place close to Monterey attractions

Liked the place, the backyard is actually much nicer & bigger in person, the backyard photos don’t show them as well. Enjoyed the plants & trees and birds there. The house is pretty small though, but we liked it. I think our only main issue is connection wasn’t as good in this area. The internet is very slow and even our phone connection in this area only showed a few bars. Other than that, quaint place for a relaxing Monterrey trip which was an easy drive to a lot of the sights we wanted to go visit.

Lovely cottage in Seaside

This lovely house is in a residential neighborhood in Seaside, about 5-10 minutes from the tourist attractions in Monterey and perhaps 15 minutes from Carmel. The owner's description and pictures are an accurate representation - two smallish bedrooms, each with queen beds, one bathroom. a functional kitchen, and comfortable living room. The house was spotless and well-maintained. A plus is an adorable backyard they must spend quite a bit of energy keeping up. It was a delightful place to enjoy some afternoon sun with a glass of wine. The owner was easy to communicate with and check-in/out was as simple as can be. I thought the rental rates were a little high, but then realized that we planned (poorly) a trip to Monterey that partly overlapped the U.S. Open at Pebble Beach, so that explains that. I would recommend this property.

The owner was always available, although we didn't need much because we had everything needed for our stay. We had never stayed at a place that was so well stocked!

Great base for Monterey/Carmel visits

Overall, our stay was great and exactly what we were looking for. The outdoor area is beautiful, ideal for grilling, dining, lounging, etc. Only minor issue is that internet is slow and we tried to do some work that required more bandwidth. We managed through hotspot at the end but had to go to Starbucks a few times.

Perfect Place to Stay

We stayed at the cottage for 4 days. It was the perfect house for 3 adults and an infant. We had plenty of space and the backyard is beautiful. Our baby loved looking at all the plants. It only took 10-15 minutes to drive into Monterey and about 20 minutes to get to Carmel. Very convenient location. Clean. Would certainly stay again.

Getaway from the heat
