This stylish home is nestled amongst other multimillion dollar properties located on this scenic street. This hidden enclave boasts famous movie stars/ writers/ directors and other industry professionals. Internally, this NEWLY renovated home is decorated in a contemporary / modern style however it is the expansive deck overlooking the city where you will find your solace. Nevertheless, when you make your way down the "Hollywood Hill", adventure seekers will find an abundance of exciting things to fill their bucket list.

Its close proximity to the Sunset Strip, Hollywood Bowl, Hollywood Sign, Graumen's Chinese Theater / Walk of Stars, Dolby Theater (formerly Kodak Theater) where they have the Academy Award ceremonies and other notable venues are all just a walkable one mile down "the hill". Recommend a lift uphill unless you are into a workout.

Upon your visit, you will find 2 well appointed bedrooms (plus a 3rd den/futon/TV room) along with 2 contemporary styled baths. The home is centrally located and just a stones throw away from multiple movie studios (Universal Studios & City Walk, Disney Studios etc) and TV stations (NBC, FOX etc). It's the perfect place if you are looking for a fun filled family vacation location or a calming executive rental. The 1350 sq foot home has a gourmet chef kitchen with all new appliances, 2 updated full bathrooms with glass shower doors. Comfort is key as you enjoy new queen beds (both with plush memory foam mattresses). The den has additional sleeping accommodations with 2 new memory foam futons.

For all those shoppers out there verses those who'd like to catch a glimpse of a star attempting to sneak out of their doctors office after having just received their quarter year dose of Botox .....Rodeo Drive / Beverly Hills is literally a short jaunt away.

Despite being "in the city" of Hollywood Hills nature is at your door step as you walk out on the back balcony, relax and take in the view. At this point in your evening it is recommended you crack open that bottle of whatever, pour yourself a nightcap sit back with your friends and family and take it all the shimmering city lights, the stars and planes in the sky, the distant hum of the city streets, the smells of the animals (ie the infamous P22 tagged mountain lion, coyotes, skunks, squires, deer photos). If time allows during your stay, ride horses at the Sunset Ranch Stables along a Hollywood Hills path which is less than a mile away. Off the front balcony and on a clear day, you may see the Pacific Ocean, Santa Monica or Century City. In addition, there are a few hiking trails, one in particular encircles the Hollywood Reservoir and another over to the Griffith Observatory (which you see directly off the homes back balcony). The spacious back balcony with its breathtaking expansive views is furnished with new lightweight aluminum patio chairs accompanied with comfortable Sunbrella cushions. Matching side tables may be rearranged to meet your entertainment needs.

This property is well kept thus, upkeep of grounds & periodic maintenance is done to keep it beautiful.

Great experience. Excellent communication with Jay (owner) leading up to the rental and during the stay. Easy parking on street right in front of the house. Very clean inside and plenty of room. Views really are fantastic from the back deck. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend to anyone considering.

Amazing Views!!

Location and views were spectacular! The home was in good condition and very clean. Jay was very accommodating and readily available. However, there was a lack of supplies and advertised furniture. We spent most of our time on the awesome deck, but we only had two uncomfortable chairs and four folding chairs ( not the patio furniture that was in the pictures). Also, there was a lack of common household supplies: garbage bags, paper plates, napkins, limited cooking utensils, bowls, trays and towels (only two kitchen towels and one bath towel for each person). We did realized that Jay was available and willing to provide items that were needed, but the particular items and supplies should have been there in the first place and it wasn’t feasible to make the long list of requests. ****************************************** I want to end on a positive note. We had a fantastic time, the rental is fabulous, but the lack of supplies and patio furniture needs to be addressed.

Im so glad you enjoyed the unbelievable view of downtown and the surrounding Hollywood Hills. It is nice that you found the home outstandingly tidy and clean. We pride ourselves on this. As for the deck furniture....new, new, new is all I can say as we upgraded the patio to lightweight aluminum chairs with comfortable Sunbrella cushions with multiple accompanying side tables. Should one have a graduation party with extended family, friend and their friends you might want to head to Party City and buy some party favors. Your guests might have enjoyed that. There is ample silverware and regular glass dishes for "a family of 4 to 5" to enjoy themselves. We appreciate that party members smoked outside however burning cigarettes should be extinguished in ashtrays and not left melting on the surface of the new table tops. And to end on a happy note- Im glad your family had a memorable time here in the Hollywood Hills.

In the process of being renovated, wait until 2019

Summary: Jay's property isn't ready to rent, but it has the potential to be a 4 star place in 2019 Pros: Terrific views and an owner who responds quickly if you run into problems Cons: It's in the middle of a major remodel. Here are some examples: - The heater wasn't working. (See more on this below.) - Many of the baseboards in the living room are very chipped. - The stucco on the exterior is missing in places. - Some of the floor boards on the front porch are rotting and being replaced. - There was blue painting tape around the closet in one of the bedrooms. - There were dangling wires from a light fixture in the living room The lack of a working heater made the temperature in the house drop to 65 degrees on our first morning there. Jay dropped off electric blankets, just as she did for another guest. However, I told her that my family wouldn't be comfortable if the house was this cold in the morning. She then offered to bring over two space heaters. In addition, she was willing to refund the remaining nights, if we wanted to find another place. I looked around and couldn't find any alternatives, so we stayed and Jay brought over the space heaters. Luckily it warmed up, and the rest of our stay was pleasant. At first, I was going to rate our stay as 1 star. A quick glance of other properties being remodeled indicated that some owners did nothing to make things right. That's why I bumped my rating up to 2 stars. Jay is working fast to get her rental completely ready. She might have it done sooner than 2019, but I would advise potential guests to find out the state of her place, if you get it this year.

There is NO construction going on, we are perplexed by this review. It appears the renter is mistaking the landscapers on property and the presence of landscapers throughout the neighborhood in accordance with the Los Angeles County required brush clearance & fire abatement ordinance that occurs in April every year. This property is a beautiful home with 5-star reviews! The interior is brand new meaning all new appliances such as new oven, cooktop, dishwasher, flooring, in-sink garbage disposal etc, the living room and den with all new glass dining table, breakfast nook glass table and chairs, new sofa, drapes, 46 inch TV and recently polished oak floors. Both bathrooms with new rubberwood (not pressed wood) vanity cabinets and glass top sink/counters, glass enclosed shower/baths, lighting, heat lamps/fans and new washer/dryer. The bedrooms have new mattresses and frames, night tables and the master and den with the 2nd /3rd new TV. Four of the main rooms have new ceiling fan/light fixtures. The A/C heating is new brand. NEW, NEW, NEW is all we can say. We love this home with its great natural light and amazing views. On occasion, renters do scrape their luggage along the base boards and may have scratched the paint. To remedy this minimal issue, blue tape was placed and touch-ups made to baseboards. Exterior of the house stucco has been touched-up and a board or two on the outside porch was replaced. Don’t consider this construction …. it is periodic upkeep and maintenance after use when renters come and stay. Anyone that owns a home is aware of this.

Exactly what we were looking for!

Thanks again to Jay for being so welcoming, informing, & helpful during our stay in LA. The home was nothing short of impressive, with panoramic views from the Hollywood Sign to DTLA from the rear deck. Plenty of room for what we needed with multiple work station areas, full kitchen, two bedrooms, two bathrooms & laundry! Being able to have fresh clothes after a week on the road was clutch, and Jay had everything there we needed including some goodies in the fridge! Never had to worry about the street parking as it was readily available each time we returned to the house, that is when we left! I'll certainly be staying with Jay again if the home is available. Thanks & I hope you enjoy some of the photos I sent over!

“THE” view

First of all the owner, Jay, is great and very much there to make sure all is in order and your happy with the place. Her property is seriously well located, easy parking at the door. Comfortable accommodation, plenty of areas to eat/read/relax, TVs and loads of films to watch. It’s very clean. Now the terrace...well, with that spot you don’t need to go to Griffith Observatory for views of downtown/anything else nor a spot to look at Hollywood sign. You really get the view of all LA + iconics from there, and if it’s a clear day you can even see the ocean. Just gorgeous, no need to go anywhere to find views. Highly recommendable, I loved it.

Great communication from owner, great location that’s central for exploring LA. Quiet and peaceful neighborhood with good parking. Fantastic views from the back and deck of the house that can not be overemphasized. We sat on the deck each night and stared down at the city lights and surrounding hills neighborhood, amazingly quiet and peaceful when you consider that you are in LA. House was a fine size for our family of 5, plenty of room to sleep, eat, and hang out. Owner was available and responsive. Definitely one of our best vrbo or Airbnb experiences.

Amazing views of the city on our family vacation

Vacationed in the Hollywood Hills with my wife and two daughters, and we wanted a great view. There’s no way to overstate what a great choice we made. Jay is a fantastic host, and absolutely determined to meet all needs. She is communicative, proactive, and she keeps a spotless home away from home. This is a classic Hollywoodland home with two roomy bedrooms, two baths, kitchen, den and sitting room with amazing original brickwork in the fireplace. But the star of the the show is the balcony. We had all our meals outside, and we found ourselves pulled to the balcony at awaking and right before retiring. The view is a full 180 degrees. Behind you is the Hollywood sign. We never caught a better look at it anywhere else in all our tours than from our own balcony. Pan around and see dozens of diverse classic Hollywood homes, and in the middle of the view is the Griffith Observatory atop the adjoining hill. Mature orange and lemon trees are growing right alongside the balcony. Then opposite the Hollywood sign is downtown LA. Spectacular view from the lights of Dodger Stadium on your left, to the east end of Hollywood on the right. This view is also prominent outside the large corner window in the kitchen, and from the sliding glass doors of the master bedroom and sitting room. We didn’t park, but there always seemed to be ample spaces outside. We used Uber everywhere. It’s a six dollar ride down to the Chinese Theater. From there multiple open bus tours are available to all parts of the city. There are a number of classic features inside the home, but important upgrades as well. The central A/C unit is brand new, the kitchen appliances are excellent, and the walk-in shower is good. The wood floors are beautiful. I can’t think of any downsides to mention. There are more expensively furnished homes, but the view was worth far more than that for us. The pictures are true the inside of the home, but they can’t do justice to what you see outside.

Wonderful home with a great location

I walked in, and the first thing I saw was a nicely stocked gift basket, which I took out onto the balcony. The view was amazing. A bit after I arrived, the host appeared and was very welcoming and showed me how all the remotes and switches worked. She was really a super-host. The home was spotless. I particularly liked the glass bathrooms. I’m so glad I rented this house, and I will definitely be going to rent it again next time I’m in Los Angeles. Thank you

We were thrilled by the wonderful view which was essentially in every direction. Standing on the deck, to the left we had the HOLLYWOOD sign, directly in front was the Griffith Park Observatory, and slightly to the right was the panorama of Downtown LA. It was especially pleasant to return home to the beautiful night city lights twinkling back at us. We loved sitting out on the back deck. It really looked better than the photos. The home was centrally located to our business downtown and at the studio and is located in a great neighborhood as well. We just returned from an early morning hike around Lake Hollywood, which is just up the street. This home was really clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. The host also greeted us and showed us how everything worked. That was a big plus! Some snacks and drinks were stocked in the kitchen. We are making plans for our next trip, and we will definitely be staying here again. Big thumbs up!

is how I would describe this house. An added bonus is the deck, which has incredible views, just like the pictures in the write-up. This house was perfect for our family of three. Jay was a great hostess - provided new slippers for us to wear around the house, had snacks and drinks stocked upon our arrival, left us a great selection of movies to watch when we weren't out on the town, and offered to bring us electric blankets because the weather was colder than we had expected. Her house is close to everything vicinity-wise, although traffic makes it take longer to get to. The only thing I'd change is the coffee maker - it makes only one cup at a time. But, all in all, we were very happy we rented this Hollywood Hills house!

Wonderful house with a great location. You can see the Hollywood sign from one window and the Griffith Observatory from the other window. BEAUTIFUL view of the city landscape. Clean with all the perks! Close to Sunset Blvd and all the local eatery places.(which are great). Close to Universal/Hollywood Bowl. Jay was SUPERFANTASTIC... Welcomed us and showed us how everything worked. Comfortable beds and great showers.. We were there during the Oscars and Jay had all the Oscar movies for us to watch. Would stay there again. Safe neighborhood with parking.

Beautiful Place with a view of the Hollywood Sign and Griffith Observatory!

We recently stayed at Jay's beautiful place during the New Year's Holiday. First of all, it's in a great quiet neighborhood amid other beautiful homes. Secondly, her place was spotless. The kitchen and bathrooms are brand new, as are the comfy mattresses and linens. There was not a spec of dust or dirt on the beautiful hardwood floors. We were recovering from the flu when we got there and were so thankful for the extra comfy beds and linens. Jay left us all types of juices and waters, as well as, snacks including chocolate and cookies. Such a great hostess. We had a little difficulty with our wifi and she immediately got it fixed for us. We will definitely be back!

It was a pleasure to host Cindi and her husband. They are extremely thoughtful folks and essentially left the residence cleaner than when they arrived. Sadly, they were a little under the weather but commented to me that they still managed to enjoy themselves. Hopefully they will be back visiting their son in LA soon and stay with us again.
