We enjoyed our stay at this location. The accommodations were very comfortable, from large rooms, to comfortable beds to the beautiful deck off the back.
My wife and I rented this home to give our 6 year old daughter and 18 month old son a beach vacation without the worry of cancelled flights going on right now. Some of the reviews about the rules posted around the house as well as the requirement to vacuum and tidy up other things yourself before leaving had us a little worried but I will say it was nothing like others have made it out to be.
The property was amazing. The house is well laid out and is much larger than the pictures make it out to be. Our daughter loved sitting in the loft area and doing art at the desk that had a straight shot view of the lake. We spent a lot of time on the patio in the morning and afternoon and every second we could be on the beach playing, swimming, or taking out the peddle pontoons we did. The playground was perfect for the kids and the big open grassy area in front of the houses was amazing for playing some catch and some kite flying! We cooked dinner on the grille a couple of nights, another nice included feature, and had fires in the fire pit every single evening. The fact that all of the activities and firewood were included and everything was so easy to access is a major perk in our eyes.
Overall this is a 5 star experience for sure and we will be back soon! My only recommendation to the hosts is that since they do require a few things like vacuuming and dishes to be done before you leave coupled with the fact that you need to bring extra things like towels and such that take a little extra time to pack I would suggest making noon the checkout time giving folks that extra hour to get those things done without having to rush on the morning of departure or sacrifice your final night of fun to get everything in order to head home.

Thank you for the kind review. This type of review is what keeps us going at what we love to do.
The house was great! Not only was it clean but the beds & bedding were comfortable. The view was beautiful. The communication was quick and responsive!
With 5 adults and 6 kids it’s hard to find a place to accommodate everyone but this was perfect. From the hot tub, to the beach, to the frog pond all the kids had a blast and adult could relax a little. Lots of rules posted but still 5 stars. We would come back for sure!
I've read all the reviews on both Google and VRBO. I thought some were very unfair, and I'd like to set the record straight. We read all of the material provided on the accommodations and rules. We knew exactly what was provided prior to renting this, and everything was exactly as noted in the listing. Further, the rules are all common sense. Don't ruin things and clean up after yourself...like EVERY VRBO I've rented all over the world! We had our two daughter's and their families for a total of 6 adults, 6 kids (ages 14-4), and one infant. We rented Cabin 3 for a week. The beds were SUPER comfy...and that is usually my biggest complaint! The kitchen was well stocked with nice pots and pans, knives, crock pot, etc. I brought a few things from home because I baked bread daily, whether pizza, hamburger buns, or french bread. The oven was FANTASTIC for baking! The hosts were very responsive. Our hot tub cooled a bit one day, and they came and fixed it instantly. We went shopping in Bemidji one day and left some windows open, and it rained and the hosts came and closed the windows for us--thankfully, because that was totally on us! As to fishing, August is not the greatest month for fishing anywhere, BUT we caught at least 3 keepers a day all week. We had both a fishing boat and a pontoon, and the lake was nice for both fishing and kneeboarding/tubing. This was a great family vacation. A lot to do, and very comfortable for everyone! Highly recommend!
Great place, however it felt as if we had to walk on eggshells as there were signs saying things we could and couldn’t do on every corner.
With the large security deposit we felt uneasy with all of the rules.
We had no issues and enjoyed our stay but definitely something to take note of.
Our group of 9 was looking for a cabin near snowmobile trails that had a few perks, and this cabin was perfect! The owners were amazing and very helpful and attentive. We had plenty of room for our 3 trucks and snowmobile trailers. The house had the perfect amount of room. The hot tub was great for a cool night and felt amazing after a day of snowmobiling. I'd say the biggest bonus was having 2 refrigerators. We had enough food to feed a small army and were able to have all of our food in the refrigerators rather than having coolers and ice everywhere. We'd definitely come back!!
We live in the Twin Cities, so driving 4.5 hours was quite a drive. But it was worth the drive. As you get closer you will get a beautiful view of all the birch trees. It is in a quiet location write by the lake. Beautiful view of the lake. There was a hot tub in the house that was available. The water in the hot tub was foggy. We had a great time and enjoyed everything. The only thing all the kids and everyone complained about was the smell of the water and the water in the hot tub. Aside from the whole water situation, I would bare with it to go back with my family. I think it was well water, so it may have been the time of year and that is why the water had an odor? IDK.
We came to cross country ski, go sledding, and enjoy a hot tub, and were not disappointed. If we were people who did ice fishing, we'd probably be even more pleased with the place
Everything went great except trying to clean, vacuume (yes renters are expected to vacuume the property, all levels, before leaving) by 10am 😟. Make check in time later if cleaning is the issue.
Our family had a great time enjoying the water activities, kayaking, paddle boating, paddle boarding, summing and fishing. Bonfires at night and morning coffee on the patio overlooking the lake. Exactly what my family envisioned for a week away.
This is a beautiful property within a lovely resort. It was off season so we did not use the pool or boats/beach, however the playground, volleyball net and hot tub were hits with the kids. You provide your own towels/hand soap/bath mats at this home so come prepared. Property manager was very responsive to my questions.
