Ultra-charming, the cottage was recently updated to comfortably host 12. The modern, colorful accents perfectly complement the gorgeous, traditional lake house.

The open living, dining, and kitchen area is spacious, yet cozy. A sectional sofa faces a smart TV with DVD. The dining table seats six, with five additional seats at the kitchen island. The gourmet kitchen has granite countertops, a dual fuel range, and handsome custom cabinets with matching refrigerator and dishwasher. Very nice.

The primary bedroom, with an iron king bed, faces an armoire concealing a TV and DVD. The private bath has a large walk-in shower with a bench seat and dual vanity. Down the hall is a guest bedroom, queen, with TV/DVD, and a hall bath with a tub/shower combination.

Upstairs is a guest bedroom, queen, and a bedroom with two sets of twin bunks. Both rooms have TVs/DVDs and share a hall bath with a walk-in shower. The recently completed carriage house is adorable, cheery, and hip. The primary bedroom, queen, opens wide into the living room and efficiency kitchen.

Family vacation

We really enjoyed our stay at Sandy Oar. RentL team was east to work with and communications were dynamite.

It was mediocre

We rented for a family Christmas vacation. When we arrived the house had some trouble getting into the property and some cleanliness issues. The property management was very responsive and helpful. Overall the property was a little run down. The dishes and utensils in the kitchen were sparse and some of them broken. We even replaced some. Overall not a bad location or property just could use a little bit of love and care.

Quiet Retreat

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Nice, quiet location. We enjoyed riding our bikes around, and everything was located a short ride away from the house. We had plenty of space . The house was clean. A few more basic amenities like toilet paper, shampoo, dish soap, etc would be nice for a house that sleeps 12. No real complaints though! We will be back!
