Crystal Mountain, the Sleeping Bear Dunes, Lake Michigan beaches and fun cities like Frankfort and Traverse City are within 35 miles. Northwestern Michigan provide many biking and walking paths. The white sandy coastline of Lake Michigan is breathtaking and very accessible to visitors. Rivers provide kayaking, tubing and fishing opportunities. Iron Fish Distillery is within walking distance. Many scenic wineries around Traverse City offer excellent local wines for tasting. Traverse City's Cherry Festival in July is nationally acclaimed with over 150 family activities.
