A-Diamond ranch proved to provide the atmosphere we were looking for. Loved the pups and cats greeting us when we were at the property. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there! Just know that there is a gravel road to get to the property.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the house is charming and we really loved the shady, enclosed porch. The ranch animals are very friendly and the sweetest cat hung out with us all week. We hiked many miles on the Arizona trail along with the Superstition Wilderness and Tonto National Forest south of Globe. Would absolutely recommend for travelers who enjoy the outdoors looking for a comfortable and affordable landing place. Being able to have our dog along was such a treat.
Authentic ranch experience with the comfort of a beautifully rehabilitated ranch outbuilding. The bed and linens were quality and the kitchen well stocked. I would definitely recommend this facility and would stay again if in the area.
What can I say? I loved everything about it. The peace & quiet. The beautiful surroundings. The adorable accommodations. Nothing disappointed. If I didn't live 15 hours away, this would be my monthly Happy Place!!
Enjoyed the bunkhouse property. It is located in a beautiful out of the way area right on the Gila River. My husband and I were there to experience the great outdoors in the area. We found several hiking trails and settled on one in Arnett Canyon. The host was very responsive to all my questions. Great stay!
We had a lovely stay at the rustic cottage. Very comfortable. Everything was as stated in description! Enjoyed the quiet evenings with the sound of the Gila murmuring a short distance away. Precious pups visited cottage and so did chickens. Lots of areas to explore there and within a short driving distance. .
Had such a great weekend getaway. The bunkhouse is perfect for two. Well stocked, clean and comfortable.
Loved having my morning coffee while listening to the river, petting the sweet dogs and watching the horses.
My husband already wants to book again for November! (His birthday)
Thank you for offering such a lovely place. I recommend it to anyone looking for some quiet down time.
The bunk house was clean and very comfortable for two. When we arrived, we were greeted by the ranch cats, pet rooster and two beautiful horses. They made us feel right at home. The patio was nice for sitting and listening to the Gila River and looking at the beautiful views of the desert mountains. Especially after our all-day adventures in our Jeep. The inside was very spacious with a full-sized kitchen that had everything we needed. The bed was big and very comfortable. We loved our experience at A Diamond ranch and look forward to visiting again!
First off the bunk house was immaculate and well stocked. The sound of the river was so nice in the back ground and the custom bbq….fa get-about-it lol. It was perfect! Only thing that kinda threw our weekend off was the dogs they have on the property. They were very nice and came to greet us but our dog just wasn’t feeling sociable and wanted nothing to do with them so we were limited as to how much we could enjoy the place. Would I stay here again…in a heartbeat. I just won’t bring our dog.

Bunkhouse @ Kearny, AZs “Diamond A Ranch”
The bunkhouse was nestled near the beautiful Gila River. The peace and beauty of the area was gorgeous! You could hear the rushing waters of the Gila and the night star gazing was fantastic! The “Bunkhouse” provided everything a person would need to have a home away from home experience. They provided a lot of things that we appreciated: coffee pot, stove, fridge, washer and dryer, vacuum, shampoos/soaps, linen, etc. The Bunkhouse was a pet friendly vacation rental that provided a fenced in area around the porch w/a place for the dogs to potty. They also provided a scoop for potty pickup. There was however, a rat problem in the ceiling of the Bunkhouse that we immediately let the property manager know about. The manager notified us that “it was an abundant winter and they had been dealing with a few critters around the house.” Megan would send someone over to put a trap in the ceiling, however we didn’t think that was done. I would also like to note there were a lot of flies, probably due to the farm animals right near the Bunkhouse. It was enjoyable to see the barn animals (horses, chickens and working ranch dogs) who were very friendly. Also, the advertisement for the Bunkhouse did NOT say that a copper mine little train w/loud horn announcement is very near the Bunkhouse. We feel the cost was fair to stay there. However, there needs to be some improvements made which I left a note in the Bunkhouse for the property manager to address. We want to go back again - soon!
We really enjoyed the bunkhouse. Getting there was a little more challenging than we realized but it was a great location for going to the Boyce Thompson Arboretum.
The host and hostess were very accomidating. For me it was a trip back to the farm where I grew up.......there were horses, pig a calf and dogs to pet. Wonderful!!!
If you like being away from the crowds, then this place is for you. The surrounding mountains, the Gila River, ATV and hiking trails are all just a step out the door. The Cowboy House is comfortable, very well equipped and nicely decorated. The owner is always quick to respond with any issues or needs. The A Diamond Ranch is definitely our favorite place to stay.
My husband and our two dogs wanted a quiet Christmas get away. This property was perfect! Beautiful scenery, beautiful accommodations inside the home. WiFi and cable if you want it. My favorite part was our morning visits from Charlotte the pig. There is also a kitty and two dogs who’ll say hello. The front porch is fenced and gated to keep your pet away from the action.
Great stay!
This rental is absolutely perfect. The animals are so friendly, the bed is very comfortable and the house is decorated with nice attention to details. We are already talking about when we are going back

Make sure to double check they have your booking
Check in is 3PM; upon arrival on time we discovered from a ranch worker that the place was not clean and they did not know we were coming. When I got in touch with the property manager she had a rude tone and I had to prove to her through an email that our booking was correct for that date. She said she could not have the place cleaned for at least 2 hours and asked that we have dinner in Kearny. There wasn’t an apology and I asked if there would be a partial refund for our inconvenience. We brought our own groceries in the car, and had our 2 dogs with us that would not be allowed in a restaurant. Our “day” would become more of a night stay. The manager barely gave me a chance to speak and was more concerned with telling me how this was not her fault; it was VRBO’s fault. She said she was “bending over backwards” to get the place clean for us 2 hours later than our check in time. We could get a full refund and leave, or no refund. Eventually she agreed that she would call the owners and see if we could get any refund while we wait around. We never got into the bunk house, but directly around the property there was a lot of animal droppings so it was not a pleasant place to wait. We decided to call back instead of wait to see if there would be any compensation for our loss, and ask for a full refund (which was granted). During the final call asking for the refund she ended it with hanging up on me.
The property was perfect for our trip out of Phoenix. Very mountainous region, near a copper mine so lots to see on the ride down. Brought the dog, since it is dog friendly, but a word of advice the farm dogs, while friendly, are not all spayed or neutered.
