Fabulous waterfront cottage, large four-season home/cottage situated only 1½ hours from GTA on Mitchell lake & link with Balsam Lake without a lock. it has a breathtaking sunset Lakeview & a great snow view in the winter &colorful leaf in Autumn. in the winter right skate at lake, our private skate field by our cottage backyard.
This is a large Spacious, Great Lake View,3 bedrooms +2rm & 3 washrm. cottage all in one level and great for all ages family and Friends. It has 7 beds( two queens, three doubles, two sofa beds with three washrooms and 2 refrigerators 1 freezer, and central AC ) all the necessities to comfortably host 6 adults. Ideal for extended families or larger groups. free to use 5 non-power boats: 1 paddle boat, 2 kayaks, 1 canoe and a swing&slide set for kids to play too. all linen included and changes on each booked trip, fresh and nice clean through Hi-temp Dryer. A UV air disinfection work added into each room. it provides unlimited Free WiFi. smooth for watching Youtube and Netflix as well as online meetings.
Large 430 ft deep level lot, great privacy and good for lots of outside activities, evening by the fire pit, games, etc. Includes dock, fire pit, outdoor furniture, BBQ, and parking up to 8 vehicles on a long driveway with a outside Camera watching it
1 large fully equipped Kitchen with dishwasher. Entertainment Centre, Sound System, Fireplace. large dock for boats, walk to convenience stores and restaurants. Forced Air Furnace and AC, deep drilled well water. Nearby library, Restaurants, LCBO, etc. Really Nice Place for Families and Friends to get together and have some Fun on any Special Occasions. Large private backyard, gas BBQ, fire pit

Large property with beautiful deck for sitting by the water. Loved the sunset views! Family friendly cottage with great floor plan with everything on one level. Covered table area outside great for shade during the day and playing cards at night. Water was clear but weedy for swimming out past dock. We enjoyed fishing in the canoe and kayaks. Our family had a fun week enjoying the sunshine and relaxing by the water.

Great cottage. Really enjoyed ourselves.

We had a group of 12 (8 adults, 4 kids) stay here and we had a great weekend. There were more than enough bedrooms and bathrooms for us to be comfortable, and the open concept main area was spacious. The property is very large with a gorgeous walkout and deck towards the lake. We loved the fire pit close to the lake! We enjoyed our stay and looking forward to hopefully renting this cottage again.

Fantastic weekend

The cottage was absolutely beautiful and exactly how it shows in the pictures. The property was well maintained and was extremely clean when we arrived. The host was fantastic and cared to any question or concern that i had prior to our stay and for the whole weekend he were there incase I needed him. Overall 10/10 stay and we look forward to going back in the future!

This cottage was all that we expected and a bit more. The listing is very accurate. The owner was quick to respond to our texts when we had questions. We were a group of 7 adults and 3 children (4 generations) and it met all of our needs. We would love to return.

Kirkfield cottage by the river

We had a great stay in the cottage. Richard was very helpful to walk us through the details and was responsive throughout. We really liked the place, it was cozy, clean - the outside propane fireplace was really good place to hangout. We were able to do some light fireworks beside the water area on new year's eve. Would very much like to explore this place again in summer time to use the kayaks, boats and bicycles provided with the cottage.

Cozy Cottage with Stunning Exterior!

We had a fantastic stay at Richard's property. The cottage was well-stocked with essentials and we had a very comfortable stay. The cottage itself is cozy, but the real showstopper is the backyard. There's a covered electric firepit, as well as an unconvered firepit by the water. There are kayaks, canoes and a paddle boat available for use. The dock is a great place to watch the sunset as well. Will definitely return! The karaoke machine was a personal highlight!

Great Trip

We had a great time at this property. The outdoor space is exceptional - plenty of space for large groups and the swing set and flat lawn was perfect for young kids. We enjoyed fishing, canoeing, biking and hanging by the 2 docks and gazebo. Unfortunately the paddle boat was broken but Richard was prompt to assess the issue and order replacement parts. Indoors, we found the kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms clean. The beds, pillows and linens were comfortable. One of the sofa beds do not pull out but this wasn't an issue for us as the couches were comfortable. Overall we enjoyed our stay and are looking forward to returning next year.

Kirkfield Caper

Getting information about the facility, directions and checking through Vbro was frustrating and unduly complicated by their security issues. When finally able to communicate with the host, things improved and he was very helpful. Property itself was as advertised; house was well equipped and very comfortable. Amenities such as the barbecues, lawn furniture, and watercraft were plentiful and readily available. The grounds were extensive, well maintained and in our estimation, the best feature. The view out on the lake was beautiful and the calling of the loons was awesome. The only real disappointment was that the lake had a mucky bottom and was totally congested with weeds, making swimming almost impossible, especially for small children. Otherwise, our holiday was very enjoyable.

Pros: - clean - beautiful clean linen，comfortable beds - 5bd rm，2.5bth rm， nice for 10pp - new extended patio and gazavo - well maintained lawn and property - kayaks, canoe and paddle boat all works well, lawn toys are available (we did not used) - onsite laundry, two refrigerators and one big freezer - very friendly host Cons: - 1. One shower is much nice than the other, we end up having almost everyone using the same shower 2. Total square footage is small. Only one common area. Hard to find a quite spot indoor. 3. Stove is fine but oven is not. If you dont plan to bake, you are fine. 4. biggest drawback, no sandy beach, lots of weed in this lake and during our stay in early July. Do have a playset for younger ones. Overall, still a very nice place for getaway.
