Nice month of July near Woodstock
My family enjoyed there stay in Janna’s house. Although July was very rainy this year we found plenty to do and enjoyed the area very much. The house had plenty of room for two couples and my daughter’s dog. We had to contact the owner a couple of times but Janna got back to us immediately and answered our questions. Our biggest thrill was seeing a mama bear and her cub in the woods behind the house! Truely in the country!

Incredible landscape setting
Everything was excellent, but the landscape setting was unparalleled. Beautiful, Catskillian, comfortable outdoor spaces to enjoy fires, books and meals, and gorgeous views out every window, all set in the mountain woods, lake and trail system of a state park. And though it is an incredibly peaceful retreat, you are close to towns, restaurants, music and culture.

Fairytale winter getaway
We stayed at Jenna's Woodstock house for a week over New Year's - it was a perfect ending to 2020. Calm and and relaxing by the fire - walking up to light snowfall and quiet and deer in the yard. The house is clean, spacious and comfy and has everything you need set up for you. The beds are comfortable, plenty of linens and paper goods; kitchen has everything you need - just bring food to cook and spices, etc. You won't run out of things to do, interesting books, house even has a history. The absolute singular tiny complaint were the stink bug/conifer seed bugs and lady bugs; but you're in the country, so deal with it. Firewood may be wet so expect to purchase while you're there if you prefer fires daily during cold weather, but the house is heated and you have full control - this is not a need. We would return here again and again. Jenna was responsive, easy-going and accommodating! Loved, loved, loved it.

We love to fix up homes and bring back the beautty! I have years of experience in my work as an interior designer. I have a dog, Betty, she loves the country! We fenced in and gated much of the area around the house just for her. Woodstock is such a great community, we love it there.

Why they chose this property

Woodstock is what I call an island in the country. Its full of city people that have come to the country, and with them they have brought the arts, music and nature appreciation. this is a non judgemental community, its wonderful. I also call it a commune but we all have our own homes to go to. we meet up in the restaurants like its one big dinner party, or at the bearsville theater or on the hike to overlook. we gather together to help each other when in need, to raise funds when one is in trouble due to a house burning down, or when one does not have the insurance coverage for their illness. you feel the goodness instantly.
the house is the last of the artist style homes along this road from woodstock. I loved the 12' floor to ceiling stone fireplace, and the 11 foot window in the main room, and that i what drew me to this diamond in the rough. i knew that i could make this shine. Also, the location is such the you feel like your way out in the country, but only less than 10 min to the village by car.

However, many Americans are not aware that numerous ladybug species are considered invasive pests within the US. One of the most significant pest species belonging to the ladybug family is known as the Asian lady beetle. These beetles first appeared in New York state in 1994, but other sources claim that the insects were found in the country a decade prior to this. Since their introduction into New York state, these insects have been increasing their presence within and around homes. Although these insects do not bite or spread disease, they can invade homes by the hundreds or more, causing annoyance to homeowners.

What makes this property unique

The views in the morning from the masterbedroom bed are so romantic. sometimes one can see the family of deer looking for some berries. while hanging in the hammock, you cant believe what nature passes by! To go swimming in the lake is so refreshing. To just take a quick drive down the road to the Bearsville theater, you cant believe what music shows up there!

Asian Lady Beetle Invasion? The term “ladybug” is often used to refer to all the small beetle species that belong to the Coccinellidae family of insects. Spotting these insects in the wild is often exciting for people, and ladybugs are commonly treated with some degree of affection and/or reverence in the United States. Luckily, researchers have determined when Asian lady beetles will become numerous enough in the wild to pose a pest problem in homes.
