The guest house is situated between the entrance and exit of the 10 mile Schoodic Loop (Acadia). The location is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts, with hiking, biking and kayaking very close by. The beautiful Villages of Prospect Harbor, Corea, Birch Harbor and Winter Harbor are a short drive or bike ride away.

Two Queens, just right for two couples or a family of four. Kitchenette, fully stocked, dining area, and comfortable living room space to rest and relax.

An outdoor grill, clothesline and seating in the garden available. One grocery store and a great Pub (Pickled Wrinkle) within walking distance and another market just over a mile away for provisions. Several restaurants nearby as well.

Great location. Seconds away from the beautiful Schoodic Peninusla, and an easy drive to Mount Desert Island. Great local info on places to visit and eat. Cute little property with very comfortable rooms.

This property was charming and very close to Acadia at the Schoodic Peninsula with an endless choice outdoor activities and beautiful scenery. The hosts were wonderful and kind, and the accommodations were perfect- quiet, clean, cozy, and beautifully decorated. Even better than the photos! Every little detail was thought of. It could not have been nicer!

Great stay away from the crowds

We so enjoyed our stay! Owner was responsive and courteous. Property was clean, quiet, and well-cared for. We had all we needed for our stay, and owner’s recommendations for dining and recreation were spot on. The Schoodic part of Acadia, just down the road, is quiet (not crowded) and beautiful. We were far enough from Bar Harbor but not too far to go over for the day.

Relaxing Retreat

Jill was absolutely the best! Such an amazing host! She responded to our messages right away and was very accommodating when we left a cell phone after check out and had to go back to get it hours later. The place was perfect for what we were looking for and a nice quiet spot to relax after spending long days in Bar Harbor. We will definitely be looking to stay here again the next time we are passing through.

Lovely spotless comfortable accommodations in Winter Harbor on Schoodic Peninsula. Minutes from mainland portion of Acadia. Mt Desert section about 1 1/2 hrs away. Spent time at both sections of park. Both beautiful but. My Desert very crowded. Schoodic section lovely and not crowded. So happy we stayed in Winter Harbor vs Bar Harbor.

Schoodic Peninsula Area Cottage

We stayed here for 3 nights during our visit to the Schoodic Peninsula area. Sooooo convenient to the Schoodic Loop, the Pickled Wrinkle and Ben and Me Ice Cream and shops. Since the ferry's seasonal schedule did not work for us, we drove to Bar Harbor to do Lulu's Lobster Boat tour, shop and had a picnic lunch in the nearby park. It was less than an hour to get to Bar Harbor. Jill and her husband are a very nice couple and their communication was great. Would not hesitate to stay here again!

Wonderful retreat!

We had a lovely time for 3 nights at this gem of a cabin. The beds were comfortable, check in and check out were so easy, and the place was extremely clean. We had easy access by car to incredible hiking trails on the Schoodic. Lots of parking and relaxing Adirondack chairs to enjoy outdoors. AC worked very well. Only complaints were no coffee and the shower door did not work properly. I will say that it was a very sleepy area. Several restaurants advertised as open on Google/Yelp, but never were open during our visit during the July high tourist season. Also, most restaurants closed by 8pm at the latest. Our favorite spots were JM Gerrish for breakfast and lunch and The Gallery for cocktails and dinners. We visited both twice! Also enjoyed The Wrinkled Pickle and The Salt Box (make reservations). Winter Harbor/Birch Harbor were a cool retreat from the crowds in Bar Harbor. I wish we could have taken the ferry across, but times were restrictive—make sure to check the schedule as you make hiking and boat tour plans. The weather was both sunshiney/warm and raining/cool; bring layers! It really is such a beautiful part of the country. Going to be hard to return to TX!

Wonderful location

This rental was perfect. My husband his best friend and I rode our motorcycles to the Schoodic Peninsula. The rental was clean and incredibly cute. The proximity to Acadia was amazingly convenient. We rode around the Peninsula and Mount Desert Island, visited Bar Harbor and rode to the top of Cadillac mountain. We loved the local restaurants and the peaceful location.

This was a great property for our family’s summer vacation to visit Acadia National Park. The home was comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. The hosts were very responsive and provided lots of great info about exploring the area. We would definitely book this home again if we’re able to visit again in the future!
