Getting Around:
Guests will need to make sure they have their own vehicle. Summer months are fine with a small car but four wheel drive is a must in the winter!
Other Things to Note:
What to bring with you!- You're coming to a wilderness area to vacation and if you plan your vacation well you will have a positive experience. In the summertime May and through the middle of June can tend to be cooler early morning and toward the evening hours. Make sure to bring a jacket and long pants you can change into when needed. Bring a pair of tie up shoes to protect your feet. Shoes likes flip flops or sandals will not protect your feet when you are out exploring. Layering your clothing is a good idea and then if your too warm you can take off clothing as needed. At least this way when departing your cabin early morning to go site seeing you will have what you need with you. July and August are pretty warm and you should still bring a light jacket. The rest of the year you will want to bring heavier jackets and long underwear, snow suits etc. You will need to bring your private toiletries like bar soap and shampoo as we do not provide this for you. Cabins are equipped with everything else you should need except food of course. Snow tires and four-wheel-drive are recommended for traveling in Eastern Idaho during the winter. Road conditions can change quickly, and even well-traveled highways are occasionally closed by blizzards or high winds. Before setting out, check the Transportation Department's website or call 511 for an automated, up-to-the-minute status of all thoroughfares. Wise motorists will also carry emergency gear (shovel, snack bars, water, blankets) in their vehicles to be ready for any contingency. Coming Snowmobiling? A reminder to anyone traveling back country areas whether skiing, snowmobiling or hiking: Remember the time of year, exercising all back country cautions. Take necessary equipment and survival gear when venturing into the back country. If you have a GPS and cell phone, be sure to take them with you, but do not rely on them entirely for a safe rescue if you find yourself in trouble or stranded. Cell phones should be kept close to your body & turned off to keep the battery full, so it's not searching for a signal & running the battery down. Avalanche Transceivers and equipment, knowing what the avalanche conditions are, and knowing skills to save lives are a must for everyone entering back country riding or traveling. Plan ahead. Make sure you know the area you are going into before heading into it. If you find yourself in trouble, stop, take a look around you, and do not go any further. The further you go the more complicated and dangerous it is to get yourself to safety, also making rescue efforts more difficult and dangerous. Make mental notes in relation to any physical features or landmarks that would assist in your rescue. Make a plan, stick to your plan, narrow the riding area, & most of all...let someone know WHERE you are planning to go!

We really enjoyed our stay! It was the prefect rental for a short weekend trip. We had 6 people and it was the perfect size! It is very close to the main cabin so it’s not as secluded as others but it actually didn’t bother us at all!
The place was in an interesting location. It was clean and well stocked with supplies. The neighborhood was dusty, but quiet. We had a good stay and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for an alternative, affordable option to staying inside of Yellowstone.
Our family was super happy with this cabin. The advertisement was very accurate and there were no surprises. The communication with the property managers was excellent. I would highly recommend this cabin to family and friends!
Great large shared studio apartment with comfortable beds, very functional kitchen and bathroom and well supplied linens, grills (2), and garage space. Garage definitely a highlight for our fishing group. TV with functioning CD player and great library of videos (not smart TV). Could use a fan in kitchen for cooking, but good ventilation in room with windows opened. Clean and in great repair overall.
Our 3rd year at your place. We love it & expect to be back next year 2024
Thx for everything. Lee, Lincoln & Paul

Fun and accommodating place to stay. This place served as a great headquarters for our family of 5 and our adventures in Yellowstone and the Tetons. The kitchen was nice and stalked with cooking utensils to make meals and meal prep easier. It was relaxing to come home from a long day and unwind here. Thanks for helping build the memories!
Apartment with a garage! We really enjoyed our stay. 35 min drive to Yellowstone was not a big deal. The Apartment/garage was perfect for us. Our son and granddaughter joined us. The open floor plan was great for us to be together. Everything was supplied. We brought food and cooked. Loved having a dishwasher. We had use of the garage which was very nice. The rental company checked on us daily. They were very responsive.
The place was clean but we had a fews issues. Roads going to the place are riddled with potholes. Also they are doing repairs. Signs say prepare for 30 min delays. U probably would have booked elsewhere if we were aware if this. Also despite it being the middle of June it snowed. No biggie except we coukdnt figure out the heating situation. Couldnt get the gas fireplace ri work. We froze that noght it was so cold. Host were responsive and place was clean.
Three of us stayed during an island park fishing trip and loved the size of the garage, the general cleanliness and thoughtful property. All of our needs were met, and everything function extremely well. This is our second time here and we will be back!

Unfortunately, we arrived at Island Park several days after the flooding in Yellowstone area. The dirt roads into the property were affected also. Fortunately we were in a pick up truck and had plenty of clearance. They were working on the roads, so I would check with the hosts before booking. This was a fun place for our teen aged grandkids. They really enjoyed the Foosball! We enjoyed that the sectional provided plenty of comfortable seating for all five of us. The beds were also comfy and there were plenty of towels for our use.
We searched for a reasonably priced accommodation that would allow for fisherman to stay in the same room and hang out together after days on the water. This was the perfect combination of space, location, garage availability, and comfort. Will be back!

The space was very large and super clean. We had lots of room to spread out. Parking in the garage was nice. West Yellowstone was still about 40 minutes away. We were cautioned that we needed to boil the water we drank. This was a pain. I’d recommend to the owners to add a much larger pot for convenience.
Fun bunk house for large family. Comfortable and had everything we needed.
Since we are from FL, we were a bit surprised that it had no A/C. We arrived in the late afternoon and the inside was warm. After opening the windows, and putting on a fan, it was not a problem as temperatures were cool in the evening in morning with no humidity (even in July).

Looks good on paper
The apartment was cute but not very clean. We found multiple pairs of socks under the bed while searching for the remote. The dryer lint trap was so full, appears hadn't been cleaned in weeks? Dryer also screeched the entire time. When I couldn't find the TV remote I messaged the manager yet she never responded. We had 2 random men show up and access the property while we were at the store and our teenage kids were there. We have traveled with VRBO in the past and this wasn't the best experience.

While the home is located back in the woods a bit (bumpy roads!), the house is completely clean and super well maintained. Ample cutlery and pots (etc) for meal prep and serving. Loads of towels and wash cloths for the bathroom, and the beds were soft, large, and had excellent sheets. This would easily fit 8 (or possibly one or two more). The only slight downside is that the appliances (dishwasher, dryer, washer) were quite noisy and couldn't be silenced in any way if a load were to be done during the evening or night. Quick cycles helped minimize the discomfort but it is something to plan for. Overall, I'd recommend to anyone!
Nice second-floor studio in Island Park (about 45 minutes from Yellowstone’s West Gate). Check-in was easy. Only recommendation is to bring extra fans if staying in the summer (no A/C) and only one standing fan provided.
My friends and I came up for a half marathon and the location of the property was great. We didn’t have to drive too long to get to Yellowstone or Grand Tetons. We even met some of the neighbors, and all of them were incredibly nice and welcoming. The property itself was well stocked with food and the beds were super comfy! Great to have a washer and dryer in-unit, so we could wash our hiking clothes.
This was one of the most comfortable and convenient places we've ever stayed.
The loft we stayed in had 4 queen beds that were incredibly comfortable. The blankets were so soft and cozy. The only things we had to supply was food, clothing and toiletries. They had dishes, DVDs, a foosball table, a washer and dryer and even salt and pepper. It was so convenient and felt like home.
Outstanding very happy with the entire package & process.
My first experience with VRBO & it will not be my last. Excellent experience.
Thank You

This is a beautiful property with such a great layout for a family with kids. They could play and be loud without disturbing anyone. A little far from town but it was worth it. I love that there is a washer, dryer and dishwasher as we stayed almost an entire week but all are VERY loud and outdated. As much as I loved this stay I’m sad to say it was dirty, needs a deep clean. The surface looked clean but as we stayed we realized it was very dirty.
