The property was small and quiet leaning into the theme and surroundings heavily. There was good communication between myself and the host, making check-in painless.
Cute as a button and nice quiet area. The diner 3 miles down road was perfect for breakfast. This is the perfect cozy spot! Lovely hostess very accommodating!
Great sunsets and sunrises. Very quiet and peaceful. The town of Hogginsville was charming and quaint. The Red Shanty Bbq also owned by the host was great. Try the Hannah Bananas icecream/coffee shop also it is great too.
I had a wonderful stay at this rate little trailer in the country. Everything about the trailer was better than advertised. Annette and her husband were very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely recommend it and will stay here again.
The pictures and description are completely accurate and thorough, but can't possible capture the warmth and level of care that was put into every square inch of this adorable camper. Immaculate, perfectly appointed and comfortable. Highly recommend for a quirky cute stay.

This property was clean, well-furnished with all the necessities, and in a beautful country location. The owners were friendly and responded quickly to our questions (usually about where to eat!). We had so much fun that we're considering returning next fall, too. It got pretty chilly outside, but between the clean, warm blankets and heating system we stayed nice and warm!
This property was exactly what was advertised. Property owners were extremely kind and attentive during our stay. We would recommend to anyone! Thanks so much to The Dittmers!
Very clean accommodation in a lovely cornfield setting. I enjoyed the attention to detail with items that would be needed (sugar etc) as if you were at home. Very peaceful and the best the area has to offer. Would definitely stay again. Robin
If you're looking to get away from it all, this is the place. It's secluded and beautiful. There are a few spots on the property that are available to other campers/RVs, but very minimal. We attended a KC Royals game and the drive was not bad at all. Great balance between solitude and activity to participate in. PERFECT!
This was perfect, and exactly halfway on 2-day trip across the country. So cute inside, loved the vintage decor, such a fun place to stay. We ate supper at the owner's BBQ place in town and the food was delicious!
Charming, great for quiet and relaxation. This was an ideal location for our need because it was centered in the territory we planned to explore. We were very pleased with this selection and would certainly schedule a return under the right circumstances..
This is an amazing place. So quiet and peaceful. The hosts were great. We stayed there to visit our daughter at school. We will go back to just stay there and relax.
Thank you Annette and Kenton for a wonderful weekend stay. The camper is cozy and comfortable, the bed and linens are 5 star, the country side is beautiful with amazing views. We will be back!
The camper remodel was very well done with a full size shower and toilet. Everything was charming. The queen bed had a memory foam mattress that was very comfortable. We were able to have breakfast with the owners and hope we have made new friends. The drive is not to far from I-70, but far enough into the corn fields to be secluded. Yet, it is blacktop the whole way.

About the host
Hosted by Annette Meinershagen Dittmer
The proprietors of Red Brick Farmhouse Bed & Breakfast, ‘Ain’t She Cute’ and Green Acres at Red Brick Farmhouse are Annette Meinershagen Dittmer and also on the broom closet staff is her husband, Kenton Dittmer. After working in several restaurants and becoming a Home Economics teacher, she came to the realization she loved teaching Foods. Annette gained much inspiration from her mother and father in developing her gift for hospitality and preparing and serving meals for events and parties over the years. Along with her husband, Kenton, (a very talented building contractor) they have done much renovating of their 100 year old prairie style home and their original restaurant, Red Shanty BBQ & Roadside Cafe, located in Higginsville. Since opening the restaurant in 2008 Annette wanted to fulfill her dream of running a guest house and a bed and breakfast, so in 2015 the venture began. Annette and Kenton, natives of Higginsville, live at the Red Brick Farmhouse Bed & Breakfast.
