!!Beautiful Newer Construction homes on Catalina Island! IF YOU SEE THE CALENDAR IS BOOKED, DON’T DESPAIR, THE HOME IS A DUPLEX, FRONT AND BACK AND ARE IDENTICAL! Give me a call for more information! Perfect family getaway within walking distance to all Avalon has to offer! Whether going to the beach, going to one of Avalon's great eateries, shopping, golfing, boating, snorkeling/diving, parasailing, or just sightseeing, this is the vacation home for you!

A beautiful mediterranean style home, with a warm and modern beach style interior. The master bedroom has a Cal King bed, fireplace, and deck.

The second bedroom upstairs has two twins and a full.
There is a full bathroom in between the bedrooms. The washer and dryer are also on this level.

The first floor bedroom is a queen with an additional full bath. There is also a queen sofa sleeper with a new Cool Comfort mattress as of 7/2021.

The living room, kitchen, and dining area are open and great for entertaining. There is another fireplace on this floor.

The kitchen is fully stocked and the barbecue is located right out the sliding doors.

We provide all linens and towels. Guests always seem to leave behind beach chairs but, bring your beach towels!

The home has Directv with the new Genie system. There are televisions in each bedroom, as well as the living room.
Please note, this home does have central heat but does not have A/C! My rates would reflect that!
At this time, we do not have WIFI. Until it is mastered, I will not provide it.

This is a great home and well cared for, owner run. No hill climbing and centrally located. We do not provide a golf cart for this home.

When you rent this home, you deal with the owner directly if you have any concerns. A 4th generation Islander who cares about your stay! Thanks for checking out our listing and thank you to our guests that return time and time again!

The home was clean and well maintained. It's not a huge home but it was more than ample for 6 adults. Everything worked without exception. The kitchen had everything needed for any type of meal. Vons is just a block away and the board walk just a couple more blocks. The owner Amy is congenial and helpful. For the cost we believe it's the best deal in town.

The property has enough space for the 8 of us. It is very close to Von’s supermarket (few mins walk), excellent location due to close proximity to the beach area. We stayed 2 nights, we were only provided with 1 toilet paper & 1 kitchenpaper towel; I informed the property mgr, Amy, who said she will have a cleaner deliver some but didnt happen (so prepare to buy ur own); theres no body soap too. For the price we paid, I expected enough essentials. The toilet upstairs was clogged, good thing we fixed it with a plunger. Lastly, we were not aware that there was no wifi in the property. Overall, we were happy with the location and kitchen amenities.

Great Location. Home deferred maintenance
The home is in a wonderful location. The floorplan is great but the home has a lot of deferred maintenance. 1. Blinds in Poor Condition: The blinds in the front window were falling down and had missing slats. This issue not only compromised our privacy but also affected the overall aesthetics of the living room. In the evenings, it felt like we were in a fishbowl with minimal privacy. 2. Lack of Proper Cleaning: There were noticeable issues with cleanliness throughout the home. The blinds in various rooms were dusty, as were the ceiling fans and portable fan. Dark spots on the ceiling above the dining table were also present. These issues were not only unsightly but also raised concerns about the property's overall maintenance. 3. Maintenance Issues: Several maintenance-related problems were encountered during our stay. Lights in some areas were not functioning, and the primary bedroom's ceiling fan upstairs made concerning noises, as though it might fall down. The dishwasher was not working properly, which made meal preparation and cleanup more challenging. 4. General Wear and Tear: The walls throughout the property were quite scuffed, and the glass shelves were dusty. These issues gave the impression that the property had not been well-maintained. 5. Chair: My sister went to sit on dining chair and fell on ground being the seat cushion is not attached and she fell through. 6. Fireplace: Fireplace screen is filthy and fire hazard.

Convenient to town
Overall I did like the location of this property. It was close to Vons and to the town and since we had a one year old with us that was very convenient. It is a little bit noisy being on a main street however we dealt with that using our white noise. It was a bit hot inside since we were there in August but it was manageable. We would stay there again.
