Les Vachers is a stone house full of character which dates back to the 13th Century. It has been lovingly restored to maintain all of it's original features. Downstairs is a large open plan room with a wealth of exposed beams. The large well equipped kitchen has an elm topped bar and the dining area boasts a hand made table which comfortably seats 10. There are 4 large sofas so plenty of room for everyone. There is a stone fireplace and a separate wood burning stove which runs the central heating. The bedrooms have black out curtains or blinds to ensure a good nights sleep. The south facing pool has roman steps leading into it and a shallow kiddies pool. The public golf course and leisure complex of Chateau les Vigiers is less than 10 minutes away. The private fishing lake is opposite the house and offers very large carp for the serious fisherman and novice alike. Unlimited fishing is included during your stay.
Fishing: The large well stocked lake offers carp, rod, roach and perch. Carp of up to 1M have been caught in the lake. They have been well fed and offer easy fishing for children and fun for all the family. Previous guests include serious anglers who have been impressed by the size and number of carp in the lake. Catch of 60lb to 80lb per hour is possible. A large hunk of bread on a hook is normally all you need.
