Fossen's Guest Lodge - 5000 sq. ft custom log home

Retreat to this majestic log lodge; part of a working cattle ranch. Sleeps 13, in 5 queen beds, a double and single, with ample room.
Completely on its own, on 640 acres. Relax and enjoy all that nature has to offer: cycle, snow shoe, cross country ski, hike, hunt, fish and view wildlife. Taking extra care to disinfect the space, by following guidelines and as always washing all duvet covers, pillow covers, throws, etc.

Perfect place for friends to gather, a business retreat, family reunion, anniversary/birthday celebration, or just a quiet holiday. Float the Kettle River or pan for gold in Jolly Creek. A half hour from Mount Baldy Ski Resort, an hour to Big White Ski Resort. Only a half hour to Wine Country in Osoyoos and the Okanagan.
Surrounded by crown government range, this get-away is completely on it's own.
There is no ATV/RTV access on the property as we use the grasslands for our cattle.
We are a cattle ranch, and raise amazing beef! Message us to get our home raised beef delivered to you.

Wonderful spot for large group gathering

We were a group of 12 (3 families), on a ski road trip. Staying at the guest lodge was so special as there was plenty of room for all of us to share dinners, play games etc but still have our own space. Beautiful setting and close to Mt Baldy which is a wonderful small ski hill. Erika was very welcoming and easy to communicate with. Loved our stay.

A delightfully unusual house in a wonderful setting

I stayed at Fossen's Guest Lodge for a few nights in August 2023, with my three (young adult) kids. We had an excellent time. The house is visually striking, well equipped, and spotlessly clean. It is also very well situated, being surrounded by >600 acres of attractive grassland and trees and approached by a 3.5 km-long dirt track. One definitely feels 'away from it all' when staying at the lodge. We made full use of the facilities, especially the billiards/pool table and the table-tennis table. If it had rained during the day, we would have been able to amuse ourselves indoors without a problem, I'm sure. Lastly, the property manager, Erika, was brilliant. Very friendly and attentive. I hope we can return to the lodge in the near future.

Family Fun

It's a beautiful lodge and location. Very private setting, rooms for everyone. Kitchen was good. We appreciated the opportunity to meet with family there and go floating on the Kettle River.

I, my husband and our daughters live and work on our cattle ranch. My husband grew up here, and we took over his family ranch. I grew up in northern Alberta and moved to southern BC after we got married.

Why they chose this property

We bought this property as a way to sustain our ranch, and were blown away by it's beauty and location in the middle of nature. We lived in this house for a couple months in 2017 and loved the experience of living in a large log home! It was lovely to spend our summer evenings on the balcony watching the wildlife or in the living room with the sound of a wood fire in the background. It's incomparable that this property is without neighbours. It truly is a peaceful place to spend family holidays or to host events.

What makes this property unique

As mentioned before, we loved being away from it all. With the house being 3.5 km from the highway, it is completely on its own, yet close enough to bigger towns if desired. Being in the heart of nature, you're able to observe packs of wildlife come through your "backyard". The high living room with it's huge windows reminds me of a picture out of a magazine. I enjoy how open the house was made, with it's large rooms and wide doorways. There are also places to lounge and enjoy a good book and time alone if needed too, which in a busy home isn't always the case. Come enjoy this luxurious, unique log home.
