About this property
A city loft in a country setting! Beautiful and serene...
The Knapp Creek Guest House is located right on Knapp Creek, in a valley setting with easy access to Knapp Creek, or go two miles down the road to the West Fork of the Kickapoo River, one of the best Class I trout streams in the Driftless Region. The Knapp Creek Guest House is approximately ten years old, with beautiful interior finishes, and includes all the amenities. It sits on scenic Knapp Creek Farm, where guests will see the exotic chickens pecking in the yard, visit the friendly barn cats, Patches and Rusty, or make a pizza in the wood-fired oven in the covered pavilion. There is also a barn where guests may chose to board their horses between taking them to the Kickapoo Reserve, with its 37 miles of trails, or to Wildcat Mountain State Park, with its 15 miles of trails to ride. The barn has a two-section pen and breezeway, as well as an outdoor corral, with a watering tank, and can accommodate up to four horses. Other guests may choose to bicycle the local roads and enjoy the natural scenery that the Driftless Region is becoming well-known for providing. The Knapp Valley Farm is located in a long valley with beautiful views to the east and west, and Knapp Creek running along the length of the property.

Just what we were looking for.Remote country place with all the amenities we needed. The hosts live on the property in a nearby home.We had all the privacy we needed. We will be back
This is our 3rd time staying at this property, and it's a core feature of our annual trips to the Driftless area. Quiet and beautiful, with the creek in the front yard and the farm animals nearby. We also love our hosts!
The property is absolutely amazing. This place will heal your soul. The pastures to walk our dog in to the immaculately cared for landscaping and post card quality views of this beautiful river valley are awe inspiring. The living space is comfortable and homey. The event space is perfect for any gatherings if the weather isn't cooperating. The outdoor pavilion and wood oven make for the perfect cooking/dining experience. The hosts are two of the friendlest people you could ever meet. Pet friendly if you choose to bring your dog like we did.
Wonderful time in a tranquil setting and comfortable surroundings. Our second visit and plan to return in the future because the hosts and accommodation fit us so well.
The perfect couples retreat. The hosts were very welcoming. Wish we had spent more time there but we were attending a wedding at Vernon Vineyards. Highly recommend it!
We had a wonderful time at the lovely and comfortable Knapp Creek Guesthouse, which is located in a gorgeous countryside setting. This was our second time visiting this year!
This is a prime location in the heart of the Driftless Area. We visited in the fall and the colors were beautiful. This is a gorgeous property - immaculately kept inside and out. The guesthouse was perfect for the 2 of us and our pup. Comfy bed. Full kitchen to eat in or have coffee on the deck and enjoy the views. Friendly owners. We hope to visit again!
Come to get away from your hectic life here. Great accommodations and absolute peace and quiet. Always a great place for me and my family to escape for a weekend.
Such a beautiful location and wonderful hosts. Made for a great weekend away even with the rain. Lovely little spot on the farm near the creek. It is our second time here and it won’t be our last!

We enjoyed spending the weekend again this year! Great Guest House! Toured the surrounding countryside, christened new 4-wt fly rod, and did some sewing on a rainy day. We highly recommend this place, you won’t be disappointed!!
Rick and Janie are so sweet and provided the cutest space! The views from the property are breathtaking and the home was clean and perfect - a great space to relax and refresh! We hiked at Wildcat Mountain which was gorgeous and close to the property. Thank you so much for your hospitality!!
My 6th time here and still one of my favorite places on the planet. So quiet and still and has a wonderful creek you can sit in! Hosts are amazing and accommodating and just plain nice.
My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend in the fall. The hosts were so kind and helpful the entire time. There are two very adorable and friendly barn cats on property that greeted us when we arrived and hung out with us for the weekend. The trout stream on property was great for my husband, while I was able to read and relax in the Adirondack chairs up on the ridge! A truly amazing and relaxing weekend! 10/10 would recommend! We definitely intend on coming back!!
