Stay in a 200 Year Old Log Cabin with Modern Conveniences

Step back in time as you stay in this 200 year old cabin with all the modern conveniences of today. Located in downtown Bland, Virginia in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. Surrounded by farms, mountains and the Jefferson National Forest, this is a beautiful and unique place.

Located one mile off of I-77. If you want to know what it is like to live in a small rural town where everyone is a neighbor, than stay a month or two and make lots of new friends.

Even though Bland County is 358 square miles, there is not one traffic light and over 60% of the county is National Forest. Come hike the internationally famous Appalachian Trail or just spend the day rocking on the porch.

There will be a separate charge of 5% for local lodging tax after booking.

Peaceful and pristine.

A great place to stay on your way… just minutes from highway and SO comfortable, clean and well maintained. The claw foot tub was the highlight fr me.

This would be a great space to have a romantic getaway with your other half. The space was exactly as described and bland is such a wonderful town. The only thing I wish was that they had at least one recliner. Also to the host please replace the window sill on the left side it would be shame to let the termites get into those old logs. Thanks for such a wonderful stay I never expected to find such a clean wonderful place to stay. Everything was perfect for a weekend getaway.

Very comfortable overnight stay

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful log cabin. It was extremely clean and comfortable with lots of character! I particularly enjoyed the fire and sofa. We will cherish our stay as a happy family memory and hope to return next year!

The accommodations were great, downtown Bland , Va , across the street from courthouse. Fully equipped with all essentials, tv, Wi-Fi, kitchen, washer& dryer, very nicely furnished. Would stay again and highly recommend to all

It is such a charming place in a lovely locale! We absolutely loved staying here; we only wish we’d gotten to stay longer! It has the beauty of an old cabin with all the modern amenities. It was super clean and comfortable. The town is quiet with the grocery just across the courthouse square and the few people we saw were friendly. There are tvs upstairs and down but it was just so nice that we didn’t turn them on even once - we enjoyed sitting in the rockers out front instead. We did use the Wi-Fi though and it worked perfectly. We’d highly recommend staying here!

Beautiful, quiet, in town and near freeway; great amenities!

Great little cabin, less than 10 minutes from the highway, tucked neatly in the heart of of a quiet little downtown. Close proximity to the local grocery store and right near the main road - the perfect stopover on an interstate road trip. Shannon was great with getting us checked in, despite some technology issues. The only issue we ran into was getting the DVD player in the living room set up so we could watch something from the in-house DVD library... we had to borrow an extension cord from another room and then figure out how to connect the player to the TV and find a place to set it, but we did get a movie going in the end! Overall, this was a great experience and I would stay again.

If you are in the area, check this place out!

Wow – what a cute place! It is set back behind the courthouse in town, so it was super quiet. The home is full of charm! For others reading this review, please understand that older homes were constructed for simplicity and practicality, so (for example) the kitchen may be considered a bit small. However, it has all of the basics that are needed. Also note that the beds are upstairs and the bathroom is downstairs (if stairs are a concern for you). This was not an issue for us. In addition, the owners have made wonderful modifications, including the bathroom. It is huge! The whole home was very comfortable and cozy for us – and the bed was super comfortable!!! It was quite cold outside when we stayed, so we appreciated the additional space heaters. In our opinion, this was so much nicer than a hotel stay. If you are in the area, try this place! We hope to come back soon… Don and Cheri V.

This was our 2nd time in 2 years staying here. We felt right at home both times. The owners make sure everything is very clean and in working order. Grocery store within a very easy walk if you don’t want to drive. We love log homes and this one is quaint and very nice. Enjoy your stay here.

The property was very unique and just as described. However, I walked through several cobwebs and the curtains were extremely dusty when i tried to close them for some privacy. However, the dust and mold associated with such an old log cabin was too much for my allergies. I was having trouble breathing and could not stay. I had to book a hotel instead.

This was so much fun!! We had a great time. The little town of Bland is very charming. The grocery store had everything we needed too. Definitely, soak in the tub. Fabulous!! Highly recommended!

The Pioneers wished they had it this good!

Besides the historic charm, this quiet rental has a cozy gas fireplace, fluffy linens in a luxury bathroom, and even boutique beanery K-cups on hand. So much better than a hotel sitting on the interstate, yet a very short drive for a pause along our journey. We took advantage of the kitchen to enjoy the romantic dinner & easy breakfast we brought from home.

A great place near AT

We had friends on the Appalachian Trail and were looking for a place to have access to resupply them and do some day hikes with them. This was ideal. We enjoyed the fireplace. The bathtub was a bonus. It was easy to get to Whytheville to eat out. The big room of the cabin was great to relax at night and watch a game on tv
